OJ, I can see where your coming from on certain points of your arguments, but it's been done, done and done so many times in this thread...You came after the brunt of it, but this topic has been dissected to death, you won't get much constructive conversation about it at this point...Comment

I know. I didn't try to start the whole thing. And I know some people have problems with him leaving and some don't. I can understand both sides of the argument.
What I can't understand is how people can say a decision he made that maybe wasn't morally correct off the court can effect how he is judged as a player and what he achieved on the court..
I know all the arguments aren't the same. It's different for every player. I wasn't trying to insinuate that Jordan was selfish for leaving just because I compared how his situation made me feel to the way LeBrons made my feel.
I don't think what LeBron did was selfish. He left to win, took less money, raised money for kids. He had no more obligation to Cleveland fans than any other athlete has to his fans.
So if I didn't think LeBron was selfish I obviously didn't think Jordan was either. I'm sorry it came out that way, or sounded that way to you guys.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I have to agree with oj on the fact that anything a player does off the court won't affect my view of that player at all. We can dissect these guys as people or as players, but the two should never be put together
Having said that, I don't see why people are still thinking the Decision is going to matter to anyone when LeBron's career is over. He wasn't going to win in Cleveland, he was wasting his time there. There was absolutely nothing more he could do short of averaging 40/10/15 every year to take that team to a title."To the last minute, to the last second, to the last man, we fight"Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Seriously OJ, I'm not saying this in a "I'm a mod, move on" voice but you're in the freaking Lebron James thread. I know it's the size of a library but there have been far too many heated discussions about these very things in this very thread.
You aren't getting a response not bc people can't form a thought out reply to you... we were just sick of the back and forth when it was relevant 2 years ago. You can keep pushing if you want, maybe someone will take the bait. But if you really want to know how people feel, just go back to earlier in this thread.Comment

I didn't start this? Some guy before me basically said he had ruined his legacy. I said he hadn't. And people kept replying back. I wasn't trying to push anything or make anybody here take any bait. Sorry?Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Again, you don't have to apologize... I'm not coming at you as a mod with this. I'm just explaining why you're getting no responses or just bits without people wanting to dive into it.Comment
