But I'm not gonna let them know that. Then when it gets down to the wire say, "Alright alright. You can have Noah." Even though all along I was willing to do it from the jump.

Just seems like the smartest thing to do IMO.

If they are able to keep Noah and attain Melo. Oh Baby! (In And 1 street announcer voice).
I hope your right. Because I would really hate to have Melo go somewhere else and the team that traded for him gave up less than what we would have been offering. I'm still pissed that the Bulls passed up the opportunity to trade for Gasol because they didn't want to pay the luxury tax. AND then the Lakers scoop him up for a song and a dance.

Haha, that sucka traded away his 2012 1st round pick to get T-Mac. I'm sleeping on him officially. Blew it on LeBron and blew it on Melo... they got nothing.

Unless Melo signs that extension with another team, were still in play as we will have enough Cap Space to sign him in the off-season. So all that work he did still has us in a good position & were still under the cap..

Doesn't really make sense to me that a first round pick is the difference between the Knicks being able to make the trade, and not. Unless the Knicks have already offered, say, Gallo, Curry, Douglas, and won't offer any other players, but from everything I've read before this, talks haven't progressed like that. If the Knicks get Melo, they are a playoff team. The Nuggets care that much about a non-lottery pick? Most of the reports are that the Nuggets don't like the Knicks young guys enough.

Yeah, the Nuggets need a big man... Randolph I'm sure is intriguing, but he's too lanky to be a proper big in the vein that we need. Without a draft pick, there's nothing really for the Knicks to offer to make up for the lackluster players they have to give (at least in the Nugs' FO mind... I'd LOVE Randolph).

Link? I'm guessing that's rumor, there's no incentive for Denver to rush and get this done in the next four days.

I heard on ESPN that they expect it to get done before training camp so that the Nuggets and Melo can move on and get acquainted with their team or something like that. And so that it isn't a distraction during camp.

I really hope Chicago does what it takes to get Melo here. I love Noah but Melo is a top 5 player in the game.

Try to get him without giving up Noah but if it takes Noah to get it done, do it.

                        Re: The Carmelo Anthony Saga

Melo ain't gettin' moved by Monday so we can throw that pipe out the window.

But if Billy King wanted to, he can make ANY deal giving Denver whoever they want(except Lopez of course)that no other team could. If it's true that they want young(and by young I mean promising)players, draft picks and expirings, then who has us beat in that department? Not many teams, if any.

But like I said before, until I hear something come from HIS(Melo)mouth regarding all of this, I'll continue to disregard any report that comes out whether it's from Yahoo, Chicago or BSPN(especially them since they've been dry humping the same 2 teams in all of this all summer)

Melo still needs to agree to an extension with the Nets though. Their package and assets are moot until Melo is open to inking that ext.

No link. Just heard the report on a local sports radio show. And your probably right, I don't see it happening by Monday. Honestly, Chicago might be the best option for all the parties involved. For Chicago(because they'll get Melo), for Denver(because they'll possibly get Noah) and Melo(because one of the teams he wants to be traded to is Chicago)

But it seems to me that Chicago might be playing possum in this instance on their stance of not wanting to trade Noah. I have come to the realization that Chicago just might be holding out to see what other teams might pop up with a better offer. And then at the last minute, Chicago is going to put Noah on the table.

Nevertheless, Chicago needs to get Melo in a Bulls uniform and have his extension ready for him to sign. Whatever it takes to get it done, just get it done.

                              I can only hope.

I still remember them not giving up Luol Deng in the package for Kobe. They cant make the same mistake twice. I like Noah but you can't pass up on someone of Melo's caliber.
