I find it hard to believe that at 11-4, the team all the sudden developed broken spirits....just a convenient excuse....with an easy target to blame...

It's not sudden...they've always been like that. They are a team who basically stand around the perimiter and take bad long balls and 3 point J's all game. If they go down, they win. If they miss, they lose badly.

No one ever adjusts. They just let fly and shoot and not much else.

No one on that team other than Dwight really gets in and works, boards, defends, hustles.

I can see why he's getting pissed off.

I cant see a Celtics team going far THIS season by adding Dwight. He gives them size and will open up the floor even more for the big 3 but IMO Rondo is a better fit for BOS than Dwight this season. If Im BOS why trade for him when they can sign him and keep Rondo?

They could still be in a hangover from the embarrassment they went through against the Hawks last year.

I don't think spirits are down, I think it's a disconnect in the locker room - There's Dwight, probably one dude who doesn't care one way or another, and everyone else. That's a problem when/if your best player is disconnected from everyone else.

Or it could be they've finally worn down of talking about the easy target every single day of the season so far. Or it could be that at 11-4, the easy target to blame continued to **** on all of them by publically asking for a trade out of town because of how much they suck. Just sayin....

Don't get me wrong, they need to take a page from the Nuggets and just ball despite all this stuff, but let's not start painting the Saint Dwight mural here as some guy that's doing all the right things and the team of jerk holes suddenly decided to blindside him to make a villain out of him.

So if they rattle off a couple of wins, is this because they suddenly feel better about the big bad wolf? Or do we only blame Dwight for losses? The fact that he's busting his *** out there on the court should be all the motivation they need, I could see if he was dogging it out there.

              No Dwight's not a saint....he's not the devil either....he's a.....well he's a free agent next year...

Suck it up and play ball like a NBA player. We spew the "it's a business and they are supposed to be pros" stuff all the time..

If they rattle off a couple of wins, it's the same thing it's been all year....fool's gold. I honestly couldn't care less who's fault it is or who's at blame but come on with this 'easy target' stuff as if Dwight is without any hand in what's going on in Orlando. That knife cuts both ways. When they were building they're 12-7 record this year with some questionable efforts from Dwight where was his speech about not dressing then and questioning those dudes efforts? Dude doesn't want to be there now so why is he getting dressed anyway? Bottomline, he needs to just STFU and ball until his wish is granted just like those other guys need to grow a set and ball too.

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?

Well, they(others not named Duhwight)haven't done that for the last week and now tonight so it's kind've hard to STFU when the rest of the team ain't stepping the **** up. Regardless of what's going on OFF the court, but ON the court other than 1 or 2 games, he's pretty much brought his A game. Can't say the same for the rest of the team.

But 24th is right though. If they go on a 9-10 game win streak, then we'll start hearing the "Maybe the Magic should trade FOR Deron Williams" and his whole trade demand won't be an issue. But when they lose(like it's currently the case now)then it's "Oh Duhwight's OFF the court issue is distracting the team". But in this particular case, he has a strong case in going off on that team.

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?

Are we talking about with the media? Cause his trade demand will be an issue regardless as it has been the entire year. He's been balling this year, there's no denying that but are we really going to sit here calling out the Magic up and down the roster every time they lose a game?

If they lose bad and play bad like they have in the last week, then I wouldn't be surprised if people called out that roster because they actually have some talent on that team to not be playing THIS bad.

I mean the way they've played, it's bordering on Washington Bullets awful...and that's some awful company right there LOL.

If Dwight's playing awful or half ***, then this conversation is different....

Naw, not buying that these guys are too depressed to play at a level above where they are playing...and they deserved to be called out by a player who IS out there playing worth a damn...

Couldn't he call them out inside the locker room though?

Also this team is not very good. It is what it is.

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?

After the game, Dwight Howard unleashed on his teammates. Via the Orlando Sentinel:
“Looked like guys didn’t want to play,” he said. “I told them at halftime, if you don’t want to play, just stay in the lockerroom. It doesn’t make sense for a teams we should beat to just demolish us.
“You bring everything down,” Howard said, referring to a player who isn’t playing with heart and soul.
“It hurts me to get out there and play your hardest. I expect everybody to play the same. I’m not calling anybody out by no means because we all have to get better … but if you don’t want to be out there, don’t dress up.
“If you don’t want to play, stay home. People work too hard. I want to win a championship. I work too hard every night for anybody to not want to go out there and play hard. … None of the — whatever, trade stuff — none of that stuff matters. Play basketball. That’s why we all get paid to do this, because we love the game and it’s basketball, so why not give it your all.”
The problem is nowadays there's no way for this kind of stuff to remain in house without the Media getting it.

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?

"If I could play with Derrick right now and God wanted that to happen, it will happen," Howard told the Tribune. "It has nothing to do with me not wanting to play with Derrick Rose. I love him. That's my brother.''

Howard disputed the notion that marketing issues factored into his leaving the Bulls off his initial trade wish list. Both Howard and Rose have contracts with Adidas, and some believe the company doesn't want two signature players on the same team.

"It has nothing to do with Adidas," Howard said. "In fact, Adidas would love that because me and Derrick have the same guy."

Every week something new. lol Next week will be NY.

Bulls have the pieces. Others have better ones but Bulls can make it happen.
