You don't want to think they're concerned about that, lol.

My point before is it clearly is a horrible comparison. You can try to make a case for the Suns going after Ellis... nothing wrong with that. What doesn't make sense is saying that since they offered this for Shumpert, would they offer it for Ellis? Those two players don't belong in the same conversation.

Here's another good example based on players you mentioned... since the Suns went after Gordon would they go after Ellis?

It was just very random to bring it up when someone was talking about Shumpert.

On another note: Jennings isnt happy in Milwaukee, The Mavs & Hawks are the most serious trade partners as of now. Mavs have nothing to offer though IMO

I just dont see Smith w/ his still questionable shot selection being someone who can adapt to Pop's culture. They just dont run after any talent from what i've seen in the last decade.

And I wouldnt gamble on the idea that Pop and the team is going to magically convert Smith into a Spur type player.

Yes, they should be looking towards the future, but I dont see w/ Smith's history that they would want him as the "face" of the franchise after Duncan retires.

Hey u never know, maybe Pop sees something that he could work w/ but i really doubt it.
I'm just going off the fact that the Spurs are reportedly interested in Smith. The Hawks are known to be looking for a starting C in return, so Splitter seems like what they'd ask for in return for Smith.

My guess is that's GarPax's plan if they make this deal. Moving two smaller contracts is much easier than moving one big contract, and I'm sure the Bulls could find a taker for at least Bass. Terry would be tougher since he's older, but he's also a pretty good fit next to Rose. Having Terry for the next couple years wouldn't be all that bad.

Vince Carter and Roddy B for Jennings and Marquis Daniels? Not a terrible trade for the Bucks.

I don't think Milwaukee would touch that unless the Mavs threw in their 1st round pick, which I don't think Dallas will do.

Edit: Unless Dallas would be willing to do Collison, Kaman, and a 1st for Jennings and Gooden or something like that, I'd just wait til the offseason and see if a team is dumb enough to give Jennings a max deal.

I love how Jennings reportedly thinks he doesn't get the attention he deserves because he's in a small market, when in reality, he's probably overrated because of being in a small market. Once he gets to a big market and is on TV more, he'll be exposed as an average PG that can be great on some nights and then be a combination of average and horrible the majority of the nights.

                    I'd happily do:
                    Jennings and Gooden to Dallas
Kaman and a 1st to Milwaukee

Otherwise, I'll happily go to the offseason and just let Jennings walk if a team offers him max money.

Edit x2: I'd actually be alright with the idea of making a trade like that, taking Michael Carter-Williams to be our PG of the future, and having someone with MCW's size would actually make it alright to have Ellis stay. Big PG with an undersized SG can work.

That'd be highway robbery for the Mavs. Not happening.

Brandon Jennings Expiring Contract is a lock to be mentioned in every trade deadline article written in 4 years.

Meh, that's a lateral move for Dallas, although dumping Kaman would be nice, but I don't like losing that 1st round pick. And who knows if Jennings will want to stay in Dallas. I could see Dallas trying to package Roddy B and Dominique Jones instead of the 1st round pick but I don't see the Bucks biting on that.

Hard to say man. At least get some draft picks from a bad team though. That should be the least. Or a young prospect or two. I don't consider Splitter a prospect with great potential.
