Re: 2014 Draft Class
A guy I love and think will be a slight step below my top 5 is Noah Vonleh. He has crazy length and potential. Again you could come away with a stud player at the 10-11 picks insanely stacked draft if the majority declares. You looking at the Chair MAN!
Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
you ask why NO traded their pick...but they could still wind up keeping it because they aren't looking too goodComment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
We aren't in the bottom 7 teams in the league doubt we are bottom 10. We have a chance a very slight one. We could have a 100% chance if we don't trade it away. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Obviously super early, but right now, my big board looks like this:
1. Wiggins
2. Randle
3. Parker
4. Embiid
5. Exum/Smart
I gotta see guys like Harris, Selden, Vonleh, Hezonja, play more before I can get a better idea of their games.NFL: Bills

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Franchise players as in guys who you can build around and win a championship with? Like 2-3.
Not buying the Embiid hype though. I'd be wary of taking him with a Top 5-10 pick if I was a GM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
As for the Embiid comments. There's nothing in his game that reminds me of Tim Duncan and/or Hakeem at this point. I'm not going to front and say I saw Hakeem in college but I saw a lot of Timmay and he was way further along than Embiid. Embiid showed some good agility in those Iona clips (nice Euro-Step) but Hakeem was on a different level when it comes to quickness.
There's a highlight I remember from an old NBA Super Stars tape where he steals the ball in the Garden and races down, beating everyone, and dunks the ball. I remembered it first because the way he dribbled was Cousy'esque in the clip but then I saw how fast he was.
Just peep Young Olajuwon. The agility, movement, and of course the hair. Aided by all naturals juices and berries (sorry couldn't resist the Coming to America reference)"

Re: 2014 Draft Class
If it is possible, Gordon is a "poor" mans Blake Griffin. He is a spectacular athlete, probably the second best in this class after Wiggins (Chris Walker is right there too). Other than that, I don't think he does anything great. He doesn't have any go to post move, and isn't a good shooter. I think Arizona trying to play him at the 3 is bad too, because he isn't a small forward.
Embiid has a lot of potential as well, but he is so raw it would be tough for me if I was a GM to take him if someone like Exum or Smart was still on the board. Self normally does a great job of developing big men into NBA players (although once they are in the NBA...) so I expect him to make a lot of strides this year.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: 2014 Draft Class
take blakes PG skills and turn it into defense and you have gordon.
even if the hype is very excessive for embiid, you know GM's love them some athletic 7 footers who have high upside.
it really depends on who is drafting where.
Cleveland is probably the only team with a need for embiid and its almost certain they would only look at him as 3rd option in the draft at best. if for some odd reason the pelicans are terrible and get a top pick to keep im almost certain they would take embiid. but then if you look at it around pick 5 when the 3 freshman and smart/exum are gone embiid is right at the top of the board for most teams...ill say pick 6-8 for embiidLast edited by turty11; 11-21-2013, 03:29 PM.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
It's tough to see Gordon at either the 3 or 4 on the next level. He doesn't have any particular skill quite yet, just insane athleticism. He definitely isn't a post player, every time I see him play he tends to stand out around the perimeter.
However I saw him play in the U19 games this summer in international competition and he fit in so great. Just running and jumping and being in transition. I don't think his athleticism will be great enough to where he can get away with not having the refined skills on the next level though...Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
My guess is that Embiid will end up going #4 when it's all said and done.
I really hope Milwaukee doesn't blow it this year and try to chase that last playoff spot again.NFL: Bills

Re: 2014 Draft Class
If the Wizards, Kings or Cavs end up with one of the top picks... that will look mighty good on paper.
Imagine Randle and Cousins?Comment
