All I said was I think his offense hasn't evolved.

So im not sure what you consider armchairing, especially when we're having a discussion about coaches in a Coach thread.

Like I told you in particular before, I'll post whatever opinions I have if I want to, and you don't have to agree with it. Its a discussion board not some place to come and start throwing terms around when you don't agree with something.

And all I asked was a simple question because you said nothing has changed so I wanted to know from you what do you think they should do differently. I always figured when people say nothing has changed about a Coach, that they would suggest some differently. I keep forgetting that's not the case for some folks but I keep getting duped in expecting otherwise.

And I'll do the same with my "opinions" as well. I've said my piece on this issue so I'm good now.

For anyone else, I'll leave the question out there for ya'll to answer. Especially for those that like to talk strategies and whatnot, which I know is "not a popular thing around these parts"(word to 24th #SHOTSFIRED, payback for earlier my man LOL).

Phil set his game plan, didn't change much, and let his players make plays.

Not saying he's not deserving of more awards, but he's right on that line of how much credit do you give him vs. how much credit do you give the best player in the world.

Well, the best players didn't win one without him. (except Shaq with Pat Riley...)

I'm probably gonna piss off some people, but Carlisle is the second best coach in the league after Pop.

Depends on which part of Coaching you're talking about.

Defensively, he's been one of the best in that aspect all the way from his time in Detroit(before they started winning in the 2000s).

Re: Coach of the Year: Gregg Popovich

There's really only a handful of "elite" coaches today that I think people would universally agree on.

Pops, Thibbs, Carlisle, Rivers and Vogel (he's a stretch but I think he's near the top). The order is up for debate.

If Spo wins another ring, there's no debate any longer as to where he ranks. He'd join that group for sure. 4 straight finals appearances and a 3-peat with an aging roster? Also to defend the throne is even harder than getting it. At this point he is in that middle tier. Crazy to think he would be going for a 4-peat if not for a historical run by Dirk and a crazy comeback early in that series.

If Vogel were to get fired, ya'll think he'd be a hot commodity?

No doubt in my mind he'd have a job the same night if he wanted.
