I think Iverson is hard to figure out, but all of the people that come to Philly wanting to help expect AI to do it all.
Do you guys really think AI would jack up bad shots if he had worthy teammates?-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

Re: Allen Iverson
The fact of the matter is that when Iverson had talented supporting players around him in his earlier years, he shot a high FG percentage, took lesser shots, and had more assists. When the supporting cast was lacking, he shot a lower FG percentage on much more shots, with a lesser assists. That obviously tells you that he's had no substantial supporting cast in his later years. Look at what Kobe is doing right now without Shaq, he's shooting 40% from the field right now. Why you ask? Cause his supporting cast is lacking and that causes Kobe to take more shots per game, good or bad. The fact of the matter is that Iverson puts up tons of shots per game to make up for the fact that the rest of his team is passive on offense. Look at the game where Iverson scored 51, the rest of the team only scored 50 extra, and the Sixers lost 101 to something (can't remember). And don't tell me it's becasue he doesn't pass the ball, cause he's averaging over 7 assists per game this season. His assist totals really haven't been that bad over his career either. I believe he averages over 5 assists per game for his career, not bad at all considering the fact that most of his teammates over the years didn't know a basketball hoop from a philly cheese steak. Whether you love him or hate him, you gotta give him props for putting his body on the line every night of every season, most of the time towards a losing effort.Comment
