Wonder if that's a call on him or if the Hornets realize they just need to clean house at this point with their cap situation.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
I still can't believe they gave him that deal. I love Luol and will always have a soft spot for him for his time here in Chicago, but Thibs ran that man into the ground when he was here. I thought everybody was smart enough to understand that fact except the Lakers for some reason.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Clippers situation not looking all that great at the moment. Kyrie noise says it's Brooklyn with the only other rumors being the Lakers and Knicks. KD looks like it's NY or GS and he's out the whole season anyways. Kemba looks like he's staying put, only other strong rumors have been Lakers and Mavs. Jimmy is up in the air, but has had rumors of wanting to play with Kyrie for 2-3 years now. Kawhi won a championship and the odds of staying likely went up, his best Los Angeles move would obviously be to team with Bron and AD over Lou Williams and Gallinari, especially since they would also be in play for Bev or a similar player with their MLE. Bev has also expressed interest in Chicago, so the idea of him still being in LAC seems like a long-shot to me.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Went on a vacation a month or so ago and was talking it up with a guy from Charlotte. He was feeling pretty strongly that Kemba would be playing for the Mavs next season.. Not sure if has any sort of insight though.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
This is the LeBron media train at work. Plant the seeds early that this isn’t clearly a juggernaut superteam in the works so that when the Lakers inevitably win the title next season we can tell the story of how great LeBron is by overcoming the “depth issues” of this team. We can still hedge our bets though that if somehow they don’t come out of the west we can once again fall back on the tried and true LeBron needs more help because they gave up too much to get Anthony Davis narrative. Rinse and repeat with this dude.

You’re probably the only dude on earth that’s somehow spun all this into a LeBron needs more help narrative. Stop being such a negative Nancy.

And he doesn't care for super teams or LAL media.
It has to be Raptors or Clippers.Comment

I don't even think Ted knows. Last report from this weekend said Obama was trying to recruit Masai Ujiri which sounds like something not even a pipe-dream could come up with.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Pretty sure I read somewhere that Washington basically hasn't worked out any of the "Top 10" prospects, while retaining the 9th pick. What's going on?Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
I know they've been inviting prospects and have had a couple workouts so far. I haven't really paid attention to specific players, though.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Coby White (seems like it would require a trade-up)
Sekou Doumbouya
Nassir Little
Keldon Johnson (might be a trade down candidate)
It's also possible that they've kept some workouts under wraps; I know Milwaukee for example used to make all of their draft workouts public but the past year or two have kept almost all of it locked down so with the exception of some undrafted type prospects, nobody knows who the Bucks have worked out.NFL: Bills

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
I've been seeing a lot of "average" NBA fans and NBA "experts" talking about the Anthony Davis trade and I just wanna give my take
People keep saying the Pelicans won this trade
1. They have the #1 pick and it's a 100% they're taking Zion but let's actually be logical we DON'T know how he is going to pan out in the NBA it's all just based HYPE
2. All I see is AD is injury prone but nobody is talking about how Lonzo and Ingram are pretty much injury prone themselves.
3. Yes, the Pelicans have all those picks but we Don't who those picks will be or how they will pan out.
4. I also see everybody saying that the Pelicans won this trade Long-term but to me the Lakers won this trade long term and here's why.. They traded for AD who is 26 or 27 and in his Prime and arguable a Top 5 player when healthy . They can sign 1-2 Max Players who are young and in their prime and who have PROVEN themselves in the league even after Bron retires and not guys they "Hope" work out. So IMO the Lakers are the ones better setup long term.

AD went from a top 5ish guy to a glorified Al Jefferson by just switching zip codes. Crazy world that we live in.Comment
