Actually what about the Spurs for DeRozan if the talked the T-Wolves out of their pick and Saric?

Another one I saw was Schroder, Roberson, and 21st pick to send him to the Thunder.

A lineup of Zo-Holiday-BI-Zion has the chance to be a top 5 defensive unit. Great size and length and ability to easily switch. The problem I can see is offensively. Even when you add in Hart to those 4, they were all sub-34% 3pt shooters. So spacing could be a big issue. I can see Jrue-BI-Zion averaging combined 60-65 ppg. Zo isn't going to go north of 10. So the rest of squad will need to give them 30+ ppg to stay in games.
Yh I hope they can improve with NO. I agree defensively they should be pretty solid and I could see Holiday and Zo giving lots of backcourts probs on the defensive side of the ball, but the issue is definitely offense. Zo is really not a big contributer on offense, but his playmaking should be a nice touch in the Pels offense...I see lots of dimes and lobs to Zion in his future. Hopefully he can improve his shooting a bit, but one can only hope. They're gonna have to depend on the rest of the guys for scoring like you said. Gonna be interesting to see how things play out.

If he's really convinced of a certain destination, why meet with so many teams?

Cant wait for things to be done. Would be great if he stays with Raptors and announcement happens asap. Obviously he, his family and Masai are in Toronto, so I'm sure they'll talk contract.
          Purely my own speculation:

I think Kawhi probably has his mind made up already or is at least strongly leaning in one direction. No clue if that's Toronto or someone else.

Lakers: I don't think they have any chance at all. I just can't envision Kawhi going from being the incredible iso scorer he was for Toronto and being easily their go-to guy to taking a backseat to LeBron.

Clippers: Gets to go back home which he seemingly wanted as of a year ago. Clippers offer a pretty strong, pretty young nucleus with Shai, Shamet, Harrell, and kinda sorta Zubac as the young guys. I think they could open up a second max slot if they found someone to dump Gallinari on or could potentially swing a trade for a second guy (this would most likely cost them at least one of their young guys though). But the overall point is: move back home, big market, can pretty much build the team you want around you, young team that can reasonably be expected to improve with you while you're still the man there. Contrast this with Toronto, which is basically as far away from home as possible (if that still matters to him) and there might be more long-term question marks with Toronto than the Clippers considering basically the entire roster will be on expiring contracts next season and Gasol, Ibaka, and Lowry are all probably on their last legs. On the flipside, Toronto could argue that their roster expiring next offseason is a good thing. One more year with the old guys and then you let them walk; Siakam needs to be re-signed but he'll only have a cap hold of like $7 million so you're looking at like $20-35 million in cap space depending on what you do with VanVleet (and could theoretically open up more by moving Powell). Issue there is that there's not really expected to be any worthy max contract guys next offseason so it's basically the worst offseason in recent memory to have all of your cap space and that's the only offseason you'll have it since Siakam will need to be signed.

Knicks: I'd guess they're a distant 3rd or 4th in all of this. They don't have as much young talent as the Clippers and obviously aren't anywhere near close to home, but they do have two slots available already for max guys and enough salary that if they wanted to, they could pursue trades for a 3rd star-ish type (Beal for example is a possibility in terms of dollars, though it remains to be seen whether or not the Knicks could entice Washington enough to trade him).

Nets: I personally would much prefer Brooklyn over the Knicks in terms of situation. It's basically just a better version of the Knicks situation. Young talent and they either already have space for two max guys or they can get there. If not for the "close to home" factor, they might be ahead of the Clippers IMO.

Ultimately though, I think he probably already knows who he's signing with, but being courted is fun so why not meet with all the other teams?

I probably wouldn't want to be the team that does it, but I could totally see a smaller market team or a team with no cap flexibility basically saying "We won't be able to sign guys anyways, so let's roll the dice on a talented but disappointing guy."

No way Leonard wants to be on the Lakers where everything revolves around Lebron and he'd be in his shadow all the time.

Clippers are the MUCH better fit.

Woj: Kawhi is focused on LA, but the focus is on the Clippers rather than the Lakers.

If they can figure the money out the Lakers just make too much sense. I can't even be mad. I respect the basketball Yankees and recognize this is their world and we just live in it.

For some reason I can't picture Kawhi wanting to go anywhere that has Lebron on the team.
