Man I got to admit.. I’ve wanted Bron and Kawhi to team up for basically as long as Kawhi has been relevant. Always wanted Bron to go to San Antonio. Would love to see how their games compliment each other.. I thought the same with PG and Kawhi as well, I just think we would get amazing basketball out of those types of duos.

But I really don’t know that I would love Bron+AD+Kawhi on the same team. I mean if they make it happen so be it, could be really fun to watch.. but I would get the KD going to GS feeling. Even if the rest of the roster was bad they would likely be title favorites, especially with KD and Klay out.

It is what it is, there have always been teams better than the other 29 or however many, but adding Kemba or Jimmy to the mix would make the whole thing feel less cheap I guess? That team wouldn’t come into the season the unanimous favorite to roll to a title, you would expect them to still have to compete. Kawhi, AD, Bron.. that probably would. That’s 3 payers in the top 5 range of players.

If Kawhi comes it's win the title or bust. If the team isn't derailed by injuries even a game 7 loss in the finals would be a failure. The pressure would be off the charts. But as you say AD, 35yr old Bron and someone of a lower tier would still be really strong, but a lot more beatable.

If Kawhi comes it's win the title or bust. If the team isn't derailed by injuries even a game 7 loss in the finals would be a failure. The pressure would be off the charts. But as you say AD, 35yr old Bron and someone of a lower tier would still be really strong, but a lot more beatable.

And it would just have that “yeah they won the title, but they should have won the title” feel.. I mean there are plenty of other teams where that's been the case, but I'd rather something a bit more competitive personally.. Don't get me wrong the Lakers should absolutely try to get him, as a team that should be your obligation, to make the best moves possible.. Just like Golden State absolutely should have added KD when they could.. I think as a fan I would rather it not be that..



They would be insanely top-heavy, and ultimately you can still lose that way. But like you said that's championship or bust before you even see them suit up and run a play. That takes some of allure out of it for me, why a full strength GS team always left a bit of bad taste in my mouth.

A verified Lakers insider over on r/Lakers said Horford is likely going to the 76ers. He’s not always right but he’s reported many things correctly before so take that for what it’s worth.

If true, that means Jimmy, JJ, and Tobias are all gone, right?

Its really odd if 76ers change that much because they have like the best starting lineup in the nba and have championship level talent right now were you would think they would want to give it other go.

I don't know about the fit of Horford and Embiid. Plus I think they would need to let both Jimmy and Tobias go to open up cap space. I think JJ is gone depending on moves they make. I would rather keep Tobias than Jimmy. He is a better fit alongside Embiid and Simmons. Then try to fill out roster with key specialists.

I think for Horford it depends on whether he wants to contend or get most money he can. If he wants to contend, then I can see him maybe going with Clippers, Lakers(AD doesn't really like playing center), Rockets, or SA. If he wants the money, I can see him going to a team like Sac, Pelicans, Dallas

As for Kawhi, all I have read for a long time was that he was going to the Clippers so until further news that's where I assume he is landing.

Selfishly I would be thrilled if Philly dumps Tobias and Butler to sign Horford. The East might be looking great for the Bucks if Kawhi actually leaves, Boston is seemingly imploding, and Philly gets worse.

I say all this before the Bucks sacrifice their entire team to put Horford with Bud again of course.

Would definitely put us in luxury tax hell and I don't think our owners will go for it, but hypothetically I think this works cap-wise:

1. Waive George Hill
2. Renounce cap holds to Mirotic and Brook
3. Trade Ersan to someone for free
4. Attach #30 and or DiVincenzo/DJ Wilson to trade Snell

Depending on what's attached in #3, that opens up around $25-30 million in cap space for the Bucks.

5. Sign Horford (or any other combination of free agents with that space)
6. Sign Middleton for like 5/$150 million
7. Sign Brogdon for like 4/$70-80 million

Again, I don't expect our owners to actually be willing to pay that kind of tax bill, but it's theoretically possible for us to make a big splash this offseason while keeping almost all of our players.

Well the rockets are "aggressively targeting jimmy butler" so Philly could sign Harris and horford then do a sign and trade with butler and get back like Gordon and a 1st round pick or something.
