Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
If Lakers could deal Danny Green and Bradley and have the room to add DeRozan, that would be a nice option for them. DeRozan obviously isn't a true #1 option for a team, but if he becomes the #2 option on offense and has way more space on the floor, he'd be a dangerous player.Comment

I'm sure he'd love going to LA. Still has big Compton ties, and obviously idolized Kobe.

Also, Pops doesn't do business with the Lakers so it won't happen.Comment

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
I would like to see Beal on a contender. He doesn't get as much recognition being on a losing team. Plus Wizards have to plan for a rebuild. You don't know how Wall will return from injury and definitely see Bertans chasing the bag in Free Agency. I don't see Wizards making the playoffs year. So I rather get young talent and draft picks, I would take it. John Wall's contract is a tough one. But he is still just 28. If he can bounce back fast from Injury, his value could go up.
Russell Westbrook isn't a player I would want. I like the player and his competitive drive. Outside of the stigma that he chases stats and plays at one speed. I don't think he is a player that makes others around him better and adds wins to teams. I dont see him and Harden as good fits since both are ball dominant guards who both play Hero Ball. At the wrong side of 30 and his play style, I think he only has 2-3 years of his prime left before injuries pile on and he starts to lose that athleticism. If i had to choose, I would rather have Chris Paul over RW. I feel that CP3 brings more to the table, consistency, and leadership.
For Philly, I would like to keep Embiid and Simmons together. Everyone else is expendable. I would love to keep Thybulle. I feel if he can get more disciplined on defense and figure it out on Offense, he can be a solid start who can develop into a All NBA defender. I feel can eventually become one of those vets who you want in the playoffs. But, I feel he might have to get sacrificed to get rid of Al Horford. But, I'm all for moving Tobias, Shake Milton, and Josh Richardson and some picks for players for fit. I feel Ben and Joel needs someone to push and motivate them to play at their best. I still feel that if Ben is going to be the PG, then I think the team needs a Combo Guard who can create his own shot, secondary playmaker, and play off ball.Comment

He'd be much better off back in Toronto or maybe Milwaukee, but the Bucks would have tough time matching salary or having assets the Spurs want.
And like Cima said, Pop wouldn't do business with the Lakers unless it completely favored Spurs.

It's the reality of how the game is played now, but I feel sad that DeRozan is basically considered a "defective" wing because he's not a 3pt shooter.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
I agree. He's not a number one on a contending team. I think he can be a good Second option. But at this stage of his career, I think he's limited to being a second option. If he was an A level defender, that would make up for his lack of a 3pt shot. He can't really be a 3rd option. When I think of a 3rd option in today's NBA, I think of a Spot-Up/Catch & Shoot guy. I think he might be a good fit for OrlandoComment

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
DeRozan won't be a star 3pt shooter, but he could at least make some baskets from there.
Spurs stopped him from taking 3s, but he was a 31% shooter from 3 at the end of his Raptors career, averaging almost 4 attempts a game. Obviously not great numbers, but as a #2 option on offense, if he could develop his 3 game some more, he could be good.
He does draw lots of fouls as well, so it's not like he's not good. Not saying he'll make as big a difference as a Butler,PG,Embiid or anything like that, but he's still better than many starters out there.Comment

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
Derozan had a crazy year last year..
53% FG is just sick for a wing.
22.1 points 5.5 rebounds & 5.6 assists
6.6 FTA's a game at 84%
He needs to be in a motion offense though.Last edited by The 24th Letter; 10-17-2020, 02:04 PM.Comment

I highly doubt New York wants to do this. But just for discussion purposes. Knicks fans, y’all down for this?

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
It doesn’t make sense for us to trade assets for CP3, I would love him on the team but only if they were just trying to dump his salary which I don’t think will happen. I’d love Melo back but I feel like he’s proven he’s worth something to a better team than us.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it
