Just felt like you were reaching for something there man. I've been known to make comments on player's appearances and also known to make comments that contribute nothing to the discussion. That's why I was confused why THIS one brought up the race card when no other comment I've made about appearance did. I only said what I said because I'm used to this fresh dude from the Suns days and the pic I saw his hair is grown WAY out and I just think that look ain't working for him.

This is some peak offseason discussion.

Would recommend the Brian Windhorst podcast episode where they discuss different hypothetical trade scenarios for CP3, Oladipo, Holiday and Beal.

The Philadelphia 76ers are in advanced talks on a deal to hire Daryl Morey to oversee the franchise's basketball operations, sources tell ESPN.

A deal is expected to be finalized in the next few days, and Sixers GM Elton Brand is expected to remain in his current position, sources said. https://t.co/fHb5Mds9yG

Wow, love it. So much for my "Morey won't get an NBA job for the foreseeable future".

Philly is going to have an interesting mix of of players, coaches, and front office personnel. On paper so many of the pieces seem incompatible to me, but we'll see if they can make it work.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Interested to seeing the hierarchy. Brand wanted to go away from the Group decision mindset and wanted more "basketball minds" in the front office. Now to hiring a big Analytics guys who will have more say with owners than Brand. If Morey and Brand could figure out a way to trade away Horford, than I'm all for it.

Have to imagine now with all these changes that either Simmons or Embiid is on their way out. The question is who do you chose? The injury-prone Center or the PG who can't shoot?

I've been saying it for a few years now and I pick Ben 100 times out of 100.

Simmons to Boston for Hayward, Kemba, plus a bunch of useless mid-late first round picks works for me.

Would make more sense to move Embiid though. If he’s your best player and he’s only good for 25 minutes of his best ball per night you aren’t getting far... plus they have Horford, and could possibly move Embiid in a trade that lets them draft Wiseman.

Sure, a core like the Celtics are all top 9 picks, but mid to late picks can be useful if a team drafts and develops better.

Giannis didnt go in the lottery, Siakam was a late 1st pick, Butler was the last pick in the 1st round, so a mid to late 1st is far from some throwaway pick or just some bench guy.

What about LaVine, Lauri, and 4 for Embiid?

That's a pretty solid trade for both sides and Chicago would look a lot more attractive to lure another big name in next years FA with Embiid on the roster. Especially if White takes a jump this season.

As a Sixers fan, if one had to go, I'd stick with Simmons. I still feel Embiid has the higher upside. But aside from Health and Conditioning concerns, Joel isn't always motivated. Outside of the 2017-18 Troll Joel, he doesn't bring "it" every game. I trust Simmons to be more aggressive as a Number 1 than Embiid being healthy and in shape. It would allow them to be more up tempo and keep the ball moving. It's going to be a tough task to find someone willing to take on Horfords Contract without giving up multiple 1sts and taking on bad contracts.

I feel Joel would benefit from being on a team like the Heat. I know they are strict on conditioning and accountability. Plus was close with Jimmy. An In-Shape Motivated Embiid could be a force. I would love a Joel for Bam and Duncan Robinson. I think it could be a win win for both teams. While still finding a way to get rid of Horford.

Personally I don't think Miami would move Bam for Embiid, but they definitely wouldn't make that move right now because they are jumping into the Giannis sweepstakes after this year.
