Trying to project what the Nets are going to do with their move is a pointless exercise if you haven’t followed them much, especially over the last 2 years.

If training camps start December 1st, can you really have a draft and FA literally a few weeks before training camp? Guys gotta move their whole family to a diff city in a week or two notice?
You don’t think they’ve been discussing all of that during these talks?

And you know families don’t necessarily have to uproot their entire family the second they sign with a team either.

What do you mean exactly? The Jrue to BK thing has been rumored for awhile and with all the overhaul in coaches, players, expectations I'm not even sure using the last 2 years as a measuring stick really holds here. This is the only off-season they've entered with championship expectations and the flexibility to add a 3rd "star" to talents like KD and Kyrie.

With the exception of Kyrie, every move the Nets have made since Marks has been there...NOBODY saw coming.

****, we just hired Steve damn Nash, who nobody expected at all and that’s with already the expectations before hand.

Lets say the Nets, Warriors, Bucks, Nuggets, all push for him, I just see the other teams being willing to throw in another first, or an extra pick swap or something that BK wouldn't do.. Main reason why is that if they were to trade LeVert, Prince, and a first to get Jrue they would still have highly tradable pieces on the roster. Dinwiddie, Allen, I think they would want to hang on to those picks in the event that they decided to make another move after this initial one. For the other teams getting Jrue would likely be their one and only push for improvement.

I do think Jrue is the perfect fit for them. And if they get him without moving Dinwiddie and Allen BK would still have a really solid bench unit as well. I feel like they don't have plans of keeping depth though, I feel like they will be exploring big moves this off-season. But who knows.

Anyone else feel starting the season by Christmas is too soon? Talking from strictly from a consumer standpoint. I’m all for the off-season moves and draft. That stuff excites me, but the idea of more hoops in empty venues does nothing to move the needle.

yes and no. I agree with what you're saying but also understand that the sooner they can push things forward when given the chance the easier it likely becomes to eventually reach "normal" again when possible. It does seem like players felt it was too early as well, but also realized pushing it back likely meant less games/money.

King this is random but would be comfortable with the Bulls trading the 4th pick for Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma? Young guys who still fit their timeline, or do you think they are better off rolling the dice on someone who might be better than having the two of them?

Definitely rolling the dice. But I'm not a fan of the Ball family at all and want no part of any of them, so take that for what it's worth on my take on that one. Plus I don't see anything special at all with Kyle Kuzma. If you can't make yourself stand out playing alongside LeBron and AD then what use do I have for you here where you'll be depended on to do significantly more?

Atlanta is interested in trading the 6th pick for veteran help. It will be interesting to see how bad we got ripped off in another trade because our GM doesn't understand the value of trades. If your team has win now players they are shopping you def want to trade with Atlanta.
