Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
I like those teams, I don't want to see them limit their potential right from the start by hiring D’Antoni. It won't happen but I would love to see him add some more chaos to Phiily.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
Toronto - Their case to be the best fit for Giannis ultimately relies on Lowry, Gasol, and Ibaka being gone by the time Giannis goes there (or taking contracts for very very little money). In order to maintain a max slot for Giannis, the supporting cast they can currently put around him would be: Pascal Siakam (arguably a poor fit with Giannis but they could flip him for other better fitting pieces), OG Anunoby, Norman Powell, Terrence Davis, Matt Thomas, a couple late 1st round picks, and maybe FVV if they're lucky. Is that really a better situation than what Milwaukee can offer? Probably depends on what they end up doing with Siakam.
And I think Siakam being on the Raptors is what they'd want to advertise to Giannis if they get a FA meeting.Comment

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
Barrett wasn't great nor was he efficient but it's interesting that voters didn't give much consideration to player's roles or situations. Davis was 10th in MPG for TOR and had 20 games this year where he scored 2 points or less, that's 27% of his games where was invisible. He had a nice stretch and a few big games but man, he comfortably made 2nd Team with the 7th most votes.
I wonder if a rookie who averaged 14 & 5 has ever failed to make either team."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
I don’t think RJ not making it is that big of a snub. I wouldn’t say you’re wrong if you think he should have made it but there were a lot of good candidates this year and at best he was around 9 or 10 on the list.
Still think he’s a promising young player but the Knicks simply did him no favors from a team construction standpoint.

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
What to know about that meeting between the Bucks and Giannis and some insight into everything that is in play and what's ahead.
The Athletic had an article this morning with more details on Giannis' meeting with Lasry. Not too much in there, but the stuff that was kinda significant were:
1. Bucks are confident that Giannis will sign the supermax when offered and have been confident in that for a long time
2. All parties left the meeting "in good spirits with a sense of synergy" -rolls eyes-
3. The owner or his son anonymously told The Athletic that after the meeting with Giannis, they think it's highly unlikely they'll pursue CP3, citing his contract and the belief that he's a poor fit personality wise with Giannis and the rest of the roster.
4. Says Budenholzer knows Giannis and Middleton need to play a lot more moving forwards.
5. Seem to be emphasizing the need for more shooting this offseason and singled out Bledsoe's inability to create off the dribble or hit shots.NFL: Bills
