I hope it does work out though and kills a lot of the lazy narratives about Westbrook. Lots of people thought Kyrie, Harden and KD would be a disaster and they would be at each other throats, questioned their “fit” and of course that got debunked after a month when they finally played together.
Lol, After Doc so casually told us about the Kawhi/PG situation two years back, I'm not even a little bit surprised about that stuff any more..

I hope it works out for RWB too. Someone brought up a good point- that not only can Bron possibly help slow him down, but Westbrook can possibly help speed up Bron on some possessions.

Either way, dial the RWB coverage up another two notches. LA + LeBron coverage? Yikes.

Oh I'm well aware of the rules on the book currently. My point is that the NBA's tampering rules are stupid and they should just do away with them period. It makes zero sense if team's can't do what they just did but we can have players doing it with no issues. Just let them all do what they want. **** it

Me personally, it’s less about rooting for the Lakers and more about ending lazy and ridiculous narratives/takes that fans/media create with certain players like Westbrook, Harden, Kyrie, George, Simmons.

Fortunately with the Bucks winning a ring, it pretty much killed any narrative that currently existed with Giannis, even though it was only 2 months ago folks we had every meme/gif out there making fun of his lack of skill.

But I also know that if the Lakers don’t win a championship next year, majority of people will be lazily pointing the finger at Westbrook and some going to AD also.

Is it really ending a narrative when there are people still saying the only reason the Bucks won is because of the Nets being hurt along with not giving the Suns their due.

People will still argue it because there's always idiots out there somewhere, but you can't reasonably argue that Giannis can't win in the playoffs after he just won the championship with one of the most dominating series performances you'll ever see.

                In Giannis’ individual case, yes.

What you mentioned is always going to be the case for any team that wins a championship, except for us and the Lakers currently.

If he cuts way back on his 3 point attempts and just does everything else he does, the Lakers will be fine. You gotta believe they’ll find a shooter or 2 once free agency opens up

The problem is with the way the Lakers are constructed Russ is probably going to have to take a lot of 3s.

LeBron in the post getting attention. AD in the high post getting attention.

Russ is going to have to be able to knock some down because the opportunities will be there.

He was great off the bench for the Jazz this year. Rebounding wise and overall defense they didn't lose much going to him. Obviously anyone playing behind Gobert is huge drop in defense.

Now he's in the Al Horford situation. Just send him home [emoji23]

What is the lazy narrative on Westbrook now? Dude's on his 4th team in 4 years. He's not a player who's going to lead a team to any significant success as a #1. We've known this for a while. That's not a hot take. Not an unfair criticism. And there are a ton of people on the opposite side who loudly wish he'd prove all that wrong every year, and hyping up the triple-doubles, so it's not at all one-sided with the takes.

He was usually good but he isn't nearly as explosive as he was just 2 or 3 years ago. Those back injuries have really taken a toll on him

I thought we overpaid last year for him but it seemed it was more so just a reward for his loyalty and recommitment. This sucks man, I love that dude. Class act and always just did his job on the floor
