By far my favorite signing is Jaxson Hayes. Especially at the money they got him (and Cam). Especially if he stays healthy. When the Pels went on that run then were beating the Suns in that series. I don't think people realize how effective Jaxson Hayes was in those few months. He caused so many problems for teams in transition.
Watch this little highlight. It's only 49 seconds. But you can tell this dude just runs for his size.
Locked up Devin Booker here
I could keep going on. The Lakers made calculated moves that actually fit around their current core of players.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

That is not the worst contract handed out. It’s basically the vet minimum for a 10 year vet($2.72 Mil).
Jeff Green signing is good for Houston because he’s exactly what they need in that locker room.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 07-02-2023, 08:47 AM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2023 Offseason Thread
Great offseason for Houston. There's definitely a plan in place now and they won't be a laughing stock anymore.

Re: 2023 Offseason Thread
Jordan Clarkson and the Jazz agree to a 3 year $55M extension
great value for a 21 PPG scorer still in his prime
edit: allegedly the contract is frontloaded too. $25.8M the first year, then it drops to $15.5M, and then $14.2M - if his production continues he could be one of the most valuable contracts in the league next summerLast edited by JazzMan; 07-02-2023, 12:44 PM.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: 2023 Offseason Thread
'Philly's asking price for Harden is "extremely high" and the 76ers are prepared to wait for the most advantageous deal to accommodate Harden's trade request, per @wojespn"
Which says to me, Morey isn't trading Harden unless he wins the deal. The one advantage Morey has is that starting caliber PGs aren't easily available. Whatever is left in Free Agency(outside of Ayo), is end of bench quality. Outside of that, not too many teams have excess starting PGs on their roster that they're willing to tradeComment

Re: 2023 Offseason Thread
did they need to do anything? retain most of the best team in basketball. Reggie Jackson wasn't great but it's mostly whatever in the grand scheme of things. Peyton Watson who they really like and Braun will likely fill in for the Bruce Brown departure + the draft picks. They are still the clear favorite.Wolverines Packers Cubs Celtics

I agree with all the above by the way. I just thought someone would sign on for a ring chase. Someone similar to a Jeff Green. You guys know what I mean!Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Just seeing Patty Mills is headed to OKC. That's a solid pick for their bench.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Just happened to luck out once the Harden/BK thing started to go sideways.#RespectTheCultureComment
