Ben Wallace is a better post passer than Shaq or at least very close to it. That part of his game is so underrated.

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread
See how much of a difference a win makes? Detroit wins one game and I guarantee you the thought of them winnin 4 str8 will be a topic tomorrow. Anyways, I'll give it a stab.....
Detroit came out with that same fire and activity they came out with in Game 1 except this time they stuck with it. Ben established his presence early on and it rubbed off on the entire game. Big Shot was incredible and Rip and Tayshaun did what was needed. I still would like to see Rasheed show more but I guess it was OK to not force the issue with the way the game was goin. Antonio McDyess may be the X-Factor on this team. He provides them with a solid inside presence that can knock down that jumper with ease when he's on. Usually good defense creates good offense but it looks like Detroit may benefit on the defensive side if they step their games up on offense.
San Antonio has to just reset the game and delete everything off of their memory cards. Not too many positives but they know they gave a horse-crap effort and they didn't play San Antonio Spurs basketball. Detroit brought Manu back down to reality and challenged him after that injury. They closed the lanes and quit givin him that easy space to score off of those drives. I think its better to go ahead and get out the crappy game in Game 3 when you were up 2-0. It would've been better had they finished the game off with a better effort to give them somethin' to build off of headin into Game 4.
On another note, this is why its bush-league to whine and cry about fouls game after game. Because if what Detroit has been whinnin about holds true, does San Antonio have a legit case now too? Its simple, dictate the style of play from the beginnin' and follow it up with aggressive play.
Lookin forward to Game 4. I still say Detroit needs all 3 at home, and even if they do, how comfortable can you be havin to play Game 6 and 7 in San Antonio - a place you haven't won at since '97?Comment

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread
This is the type of basketball we've all been waiting to see. Finally the Pistons played as if they cared. They played Detroit basketball. What amazes me most about tonight's game was that they were able to run at will on the fastbreak and there was nothing the Spurs could do about it. They had 20 fastbreak points and most of those came off of Spurs turnovers. If the Sours would have protected the ball better then it would have been a much closer game. Rip Hamilton and Chauncey Billups did their thing but Ben Wallace had one heck of a game. That dunk right in the beginning of the game got the whole Palace excited and brought some energy that was really needed in this series. Tim Duncan got taken out of his game in the 2nd half and Ginobili was silent all game with only 6 shots. They absolutely shut those 2 down in the 2nd half. Detroit should be feeling very good about this game but not too good they need to get ready for game 4 and play like this again. Like the previous poster said, the Spurs just need to delete everything that happened and start over from scratch. Every team in these types of series' has a bad night. It was just that in the 4th quarter the Spurs got tentative and just couldn't knock down any shots. Another thing I was impressed with was just the fact that in the 2nd half the Pistons did not allow Tony Parker to drive through the lane at will. He was forced to take bad shots. The only thing I wasn't impressed about was the fact that in the 1st half the Pistons kept giving up too many open 3 pointers. Will the players stop whining at the officials? Other than that this series is on.Comment

The pistons handled the spurs just as bad as the spurs handled the pistons in games 1 and 2.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
