the series is garbage because all 4 games have been non competitive blowouts. has nothing to do with the style of play or lack of flash. the showtime lakers could be playing, but it wouldn't mean anything if the games weren't competitive.

Originally posted by bball_1523they were talking all that smack to the spurs during the sonics series and the spurs debunked that. I wanna see the spurs do the exact same thing and debunk all that trash people are talking about them. I'm surprised that both teams have been thrashing each other in all the games. I'm still keeping my head up for the spurs though.Comment

I think the series is going 7 games too with the Spurs pulling it off. I wonder what the ratings are going to end up like. I have a feeling they will be at an all time low. These are some rather boring games IMO. At least let a couple come down to the final minutes.
Both teams have given it their all for 2 games, spurs and pistons. For fans of both, they've gotten what they've wanted, so far. I hope game 5 can be a different story though.Comment

Originally posted by RahKhemWell put it this way, SA can't lose the series on Detroit's home floor. So even if they get completely pasted these 3 games, they will still make sure the championship is decided on their home floor. In the 2-2-1-1-1 format, there is a much greater chance for the championship to be decided on the team who didn't get homecourt advantage.
I don't like the 2-3-2 format because I feel it puts too much stress on the team without home court...expecting to win 3 in a row is rough. IMO the Pistons still need to win game 5 in order to win this series, I'm not convinced they can win 6 and 7 on the road, they can do it but it'll be tough.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread
Wipe the floor with the Pistons? Are you serious? Do you honestly believe that any team in the NBA can wipe the floor with the Pistons? C'mon man let's be serious.
P.S. Stephen A. nailed it to me, the Spurs look like a completely demoralized team, they can take almost nothing from this game and bring it to game 5. Really, there is no scheme the Spurs can come up with to help them out. They are just getting outmuscled, outeverythinged.... They better sack up because it won't matter where they play if they play like this again.Last edited by RahKhem; 06-16-2005, 11:14 PM.Comment

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread
This has been a very weird series. I've heard of home court advantage but this is just silly. Who would've thought a few days ago that the Pistons would be owning the Spurs right now?
I guess this is gonna be one of those home win series.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

By the way, when it comes to David Stern it's all about marketing.Comment

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread
Wow, this has been a TERRIBLE series so far. Even? Yes, but theyve all been blowouts. No excitement whatsoever. Until we get some close games going on here, we're gonna have to wait till next year to see if there's a Finals that can match up to the Suns/Bulls from 93, which is what I believe hasnt been matched in any of the Finals since.
Let's go Detroit!Comment

Um, maybe the Sonics should learn how to play defense before you make a statement like that. Also, maybe the Sonics should actually do something in the playoffs first, too.Co-Founder
