Re: Can Someone Show Me How Outside Fighting Is Done?
What about tuning of long term damage instead, like you can land like 6 or 7 headkicks/overhands at several points through a round without getting a rock. Shouldnt landing something heavy have a greater reward, and both are really blockable and counterable so it doesnt effect balance to much.Comment

Re: Can Someone Show Me How Outside Fighting Is Done?
The biggest issue, which nobody seems to be talking about for some reason, is that people are throwing power punches while moving, constantly.
In real life, that doesn't happen. There are stepping and lunging strikes, sure, but when you're actually throwing power punches, especially in combinations, you're supposed to be PLANTING YOUR FEET! I'm not sure how the EA UFC gameplay devs didn't understand this. You're not supposed to be able to just be stepping forward constantly throwing hooks at proper power. They need to be SIGNIFICANTLY weaker while moving.Comment

Youre supposed to find your way in, plant, throw, find your way out.
Like you said, you can hop in with a jab/straight, lead hook irl, but you rarely see guys running full ball at each other winging hooks and power punches. Because thats just not how physics work.
Power in your strikes comes from the energy transferring through a kinetic chain. A leaping strike doesnt have a kinetic chain, thus alhasless power.
Forward lunging strikes like that also leave you wide open and vulnerable to counter strikes.
The way striking works in this game honestly makes no sense.PSN: Lord__Hazanko

Re: Can Someone Show Me How Outside Fighting Is Done?
Then tweak how rocks work. I understand the concept of balance. If you change one thing you will have to rebalance something else. That’s not really a sufficient reason to not improve the game.
I think that your opponent should react realistically to strikes. If Anthony Johnson blasts you in the face with a clean hook, you’re rocked (if lucky) or unconscious.
I’m just hoping this franchise continues in the way its going towards more realism, but it’s not quite there yet.
MMA is exciting and super entertaining to watch. Why wouldn’t the game strive to emulate as realistically as possible the aspects of MMA that make it so exciting in the first place?
We’re headed in the right direction, but the constant talk of attempts at more realism creating balance issues it makes me wonder if there’s only so much mileage we can get out of his framework EA has built.
I’m a believer that it’s possible. Sucks that most of the game changers don’t seem to agree.Comment

Ive said the same thing. Constantly moving while striking is not how fighting works. Its just not.

I agree that the logic of the striking and the damage system are totally unintuitive.Comment

Some of the best posters were banned waaaay too easily

This forum wont die. People get banned and they eventually come back and obey the rules. Big Cee has been banned like 4 times and he's back again. Same with many of the other guys.Comment

Consider this your warning and my recommendation is to keep to the discussion of the topic rather than the moderation of the site.
You have no idea what happens not in a public view so your better off not assuming you know better.Comment

I’d be terrified if this ended up like some of the other sport game sections.Comment

ACtually, any user that's banned has either been given ample warning or completely gone off the rails as you just did.

Just tell me you want me to stay on topic and the problem is solved. Trying to flex wont get you anywhere.
But anyway I’m done with it. I’m only here for the Devs/Gcs input, not yours.Last edited by Phillyboi207; 03-18-2018, 12:48 PM.Comment

Re: Can Someone Show Me How Outside Fighting Is Done?
The rules are in place so that the devs and members have a conductive and mature place to discuss the game, positive or negative. If someone's behavior threatens that, they are typically warned or removed.
Those rules are the reason you are able to get input from the devs here. If they werent in place, I doubt GPD would be here.Comment
