I understand that MMA is complex and certain movements are pretty much impossible to replicate, but look at the new movement suggestion, just make the side lunge not move in a circle around your oppenent, I understand it might look stupid or hard to make but its a neccasry change if you want to create a game that actually a replica of the sport.

Re: How is outside fighting considered OP?
GPD's point was that facing doesn't matter in the game mechanics currently, so giving us the ability to change facing wouldn't matter at all and would just cause weird aesthetic changes, not that facing is irrelevant to actual fights. Y'all need to realise when people are talking about purely the game or reality.**** off, Nugget7211 - GPD, 2017 & 2018

Re: How is outside fighting considered OP?
I think GPD was just showing that there is nothing wrong with the movement in the way that some people stated. I don't think he means to show that angling is perfect; it's a game and that would be hard to replicate.
Quick lateral movement like shown in War's post might help to actually create angles before the opponent can square up again though.Comment

Re: How is outside fighting considered OP?
I am saying it would be nice to have more free movement in the future, whether it be through the patch which is unlikely or the next game.
We cannot even connect back clinch to the cage as of now. There is room for improvement.Comment

Re: How is outside fighting considered OP?
If you added a way to transition to the back from a single leg maybe we could have a similar animation, plus a maybe chaining a single leg animation to the wrestiling sweep from sprawl bottom to back side top.Comment

Damn y’all jumped on GPD when he posted but then act shocked when he didnt appreciate it.
We gotta remember that the Devs are doing us a huge favor by even responding to us. I would kill to be able to speak directly with Madden or Nba 2k Devs.
If y’all disagree with something said just provide evidence and a detailed reason why. Attitude isnt going to make the Devs wanna participate in these discussions.

It is just blatantly wrong to say there would be zero advantage from tying movement to the cage.
For one it would would open up free direction sprint/movement. It has shown proven advantages and disadvantages as anything.

Also even if we set aside the lack of a back clinch entry.

Can we go back to talking about range fighting instead of free movement?
Not being able to face the opponent won't help much as the game is. I wish we could angle off to different sides while still facing our opponents tho. Like side step towards the lead leg would increase GA for a single leg.Comment

Re: How is outside fighting considered OP?
Bro a lot of GCs already think "running" is too viable and you wanna open up the possibility of a free roam sprint? lol

But at the same time it's hard not to get annoyed when it feels like the devs have no idea what we want, and even when we ask for extremely reasonable wants from an MMA game, half of the gamechangers are against it, if not more.
this whole situation is just plain dumb.Comment

I didn't see anybody say they expected this to be easy or that they wanted this in the immediate future.Comment

Re: How is outside fighting considered OP?
Free movement would allow for better cage cutting. Which is the point.
Especially if pawing could tie single collar as well so you can pin people who run away along the cage.Comment

Re: How is outside fighting considered OP?
this is what always happens, and it's because we want a realistic MMA game so badly that we get carried away and talk about things that aren't going to happen within the immediate future

Devs are stuck trying to make the game fun/accessable enough for a casual, balanced enough for competitive players, and realistic enough for sim guys.
Not an easy task. We have to be willing to concede certain things. Fighting for free f
roam isnt worth it imo.Last edited by Phillyboi207; 05-03-2018, 05:16 PM.Comment
