You're on a roll. Looks like you'll easily win the conference, more than likely, and maybe even go undefeated in conference play. You've done a nice job recruiting.

With the success you are having I am sure you will get a couple Mid-Major job offers at the end of the season but with your current setup I would think it would be hard to leave. However I am curious besides Tennessee what would be a list of schools you would love to coach at some day.

Thanks!! Going undefeated in conference play would be pretty sweet, but the conference is just bad this year. I think the highest rated overall team (besides Radford) is like 69, while I'm 79 overall.

And recruiting has me even more excited for next season! I think I could land a top 30-ish class if everything goes the way I think it will. :P

Thanks! Thought we'd be higher by now with a 14-2 record and an upset @ Miami... But, I'm definitely satisfied with the #5 ranking.

My goal is to get to #1 at some point during the season. I hope we don't suffer very many upsets in conference play so this can actually happen :P

At this point I'm not sure if I want to move up a Mid-Major tier and coach at some place like Gonzaga or stay at Radford and get them to Gonzaga's level and then leave once I get a Major D1 offer from a school like Tennessee or something. The reason why, is when I look at the box scores of games I play and in the NCAA Tournament, the mid-major recruiting has been AWFUL.... If I were to "move on" there is a chance I'd get a worse roster than I did when I first started this Radford Legacy... And that team was pretty bad haha.

Also, after the rebuilding I've done at Radford I'd prefer to coach for at least another couple of years to see my first recruiting class graduate.. Also, I'd like to boost some more coaching attributes before I go to a Power 5 Conference so recruiting won't be really difficult.

But, here is a list of schools I'd LOVE to coach at:

                1. Tennessee
                2. Michigan State
                3. Louisville
                4. Indiana
                5. Cincinnati
                6. Texas Tech

                8. Syracuse

January 16, 2010: Winthrop vs. Radford

Radford wins their 11th straight in an ugly fashion in a 60-46 win over Winthrop at home.

Radford was led by Freshman PF Brandon Ray who matched his point and rebound total from the High Point game, by finishing with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Ray was 5/7 shooting from the field and also had 2 steals and a block. Senior PG Fredrick Garnett finished with 11 points on 3/12 shooting and 1/6 from behind the 3 point arc. Both of Radford's SF's, Freshman Emmett Bonner and Sophomore Landon Snow, chipped in 8 points a piece. No one else scored more than 6 points for the Highlanders.

Winthrop was led by Redshirt Junior Cedrick Didlake who finished with a game high 15 points on 5/13 shooting and 2/5 from behind the 3 point arc. Didlake also had 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block. Junior PF Phillip Clinton
didn't have a very good day shooting the ball as he only scored 6 points on 3/11 shooting, but he grabbed a game high 13 rebounds. No other Winthrop player scored more than 5 points. Turnovers really killed the Eagles in this game as Radford forced 21 turnovers.

January 18, 2010: Coastal Carolina vs. Radford

Radford's late 2nd half comeback, gets the game into overtime and they pull out their 12th straight win, 81-77.

The score was 71-68 and it was Radford's ball with 14 seconds left. Neither team had scored in the past minute and a half. The ball was inbounded to Senior PG Fredrick Garnett who came off a screen, drove into the paint, and kicked the ball out to Sophomore SG Sammy Coleman who was WIDE open behind the 3 point arc. Coleman drained the 3 with just 4.3 seconds left. (Coleman was in the game because Freshman SG Kenny Andrews had fouled out 3 minutes prior.)

Coastal Carolina was out of timeouts, so they quickly inbounded the ball to star PG Richie Gonzales, who raced up the court and heaved up a LONG 3 point attempt which was way off... So we were going to overtime!

In overtime, the game was never really that close. Radford quickly jumped out on a 7-0 run thanks to a Cedrick Covington 3 pointer and a HUGE dunk by Freshman PF Brandon Ray, and a nice hook shot by Freshman C Marquis Peterson. Coastal Carolina's Junior PG Richie Gonzales scored the next 2 baskets for Coastal Carolina. But, late free throws by Freshman PF Brandon ray sealed the deal, and Radford escaped with an 81-77 victory!

Radford was led by Junior PF Drake Conn who scored a team high 16 points on 6/7 shooting and 4/4 from the free throw line in just 16 minutes of playing time. Freshman PF Brandon Ray finished with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Senior C Bud Mann finished with 12 points on 4/4 shooting from the field and 3/5 from the free throw line. Freshmen Marquis Peterson and Cedrick Covington both chipped in 10 points a piece.

Coastal Carolina was led by Senior PG Richie Gonzales who scored a game high 23 points on 8/20 shooting and 5/14 shooting from behind the 3 point arc. Gonzales also played a game high 38 minutes. Junior SF Laron Morrison almost got a double double as he finished with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Sophomore PF Hubert Garrity also fell short a double double as he finished with 9 points and 8 rebounds. Redshirt Senior Dustin Paul finished with 13 points and 5 rebounds off the bench.
