Tovarich: Just keeping someone to 56% and we can win. Over 60% is a bit tougher. Rough second half for them. We'd only forced 2 turnovers at halftime, which you almost have to be trying not to steal anything to only have 2. Then they turned into turnover machines.
Reporter: What adjustments did you make at halftime?
Tovarich: We pressed for a couple minutes. I didn't like the way they went on the 13-4 run to end the half, so I thought we better see if that gets us going. Even after we took it off though, the turnovers were crazy. They switched to a zone in the second half for some reason. I don't know why. We still sucked overall at 3's, but we had 2 at halftime and 9 after. I was happy to shoot 3's over the zone. Not sure why Billy Donovan changed that. He was trying to fix something that wasn't broken it seems because we didn't do much offensively in the first half.
Reporter: Is slowing down games the key to winning for this team?
Tovarich: Yeah, it probably is. We were a little quick those last 3 minutes, feeling like we had it already apparently, and then they finally got hot at the end and made 4 shots in a row.
Reporter: How significant is it to beat a top 10 team?
Tovarich: I'm not sure the number next to their names means much. We know they're good. We're at home and it's a rivalry game, at least in football. Basketball probably doesn't have the same intensity. But it probably matters more because of those things.
Reporter: So, you've changed nothing on defense but after 5 games in a row allowing over 60%, suddenly you've improved?
Tovarich: Yep, it's random. Luckily they only had one guy on offense doing anything significant. We play how we play and we really don't change a whole lot. Still getting killed on the boards though. That's something I'd love to magically change for no apparent reason.
