Re: "Mountaineers Are Always Free"
Mountaineers Top Cardinals
Colson's 132 Yards Destroys Cardinal Defense
#1420 -- (4-2) (1-1)
NR34 -- (6-1) (3-0)
Morgantown, WV - The Mountaineers shocked the Louisville Cardinals on a bright Saturday afternoon in Morgantown, WV! Louisville came out very sluggish early as they fell behind 17-3 in the 2nd quarter and were behinf 24-10 at halftime. Louisville would struggle to find offense in the 2nd half, just like the 1st half, as they would only match West Virginia's 10 2nd half points as the fell to the Mountaineers by 10, a score of 34-20.
Louisville lost to an Oregon State team earlier this year that they were supposed to crush. They were heavy favorites over the Mountaineers, but they were more or less dominated for most of the game. So, one might ask, are the Cardinals no good, or is West Virginia that good? The only way to tell is to wait and see how the rest of the season play itself out. West Virginia and Pittsburgh find themselves currently holding their own destiny in the Big East, as they will meet for their final game of the season, which may decide the Big East Championship.
Jason Colson was a force in the game, as he rushed for 132 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown. With only 4 carries Jason Gwanltney managed to get 51 yards rushing and a touchdown as well. The rushing game worked well as it usually does for the Mountaineers, and today was no different.
With the win, the Mountaineers move to 6-1 (3-0) on the season.

Re: "Mountaineers Are Always Free"
Senior Tight End Josh Bailey Suspended
Bailey Will Miss the South Florida and Connecticut Games
Morgantown, WV - West Virginia head coach Bill Stewart decided to suspend senior tight end Josh Bailey for 2 of this season's final 4 games. He will miss the South Florida and Connecticut games, but will be back for the games against Cincinnati and Pittsburgh to end the season.
Bill Stewart noted that Bailey's grades had been in a free fall. "My #1 goal is to graduate as many players as I can," noted Bill Stewart, "and I realized Bailey's GPA had fell to unacceptable standards. I know he can do it better than that and he knows it too."
Bailey declined to comment on the incident. "Maybe some time away from football will do him some good," commented Bill Stewart. "I feel bad for him being a senior and all, but if you do not keep up your grades, you will not play for this football team, plain and simple."Comment
