Recap

Notre Dame (11-6, 1-4) @ Villanova (9-7, 3-3)
Team 1st 2nd OT Final 33 40 8 81 29 44 7 80
Recap
Trailing by 2 with under 15 seconds to go, Notre Dame had 1 last chance to either tie or win the game against Villanova. Notre Dame previously had an 8 point lead, but let it slip away to Villanova who eventually had their own 7 point lead. Notre Dame called a play, and gave it Luke Harangody in the low-post. Harangody backed down his man, turned and shot a jump hook that tied the game. In overtime, Rob Kurz hit the game winning layup on an excellent pass from Tory Jackson with 7 seconds left. Corey Fisher attempted a deep 3 to win the game, but it was off the mark as Notre Dame held on and won in overtime.
Corey Fisher led Villanova with 32 points and 6 assists, but missed the potential game-winner. Notre Dame did an excellent job defending Scottie Reynolds who shot just 2/12 and only scored 9 points. Kyle McAlarney led the Irish in scoring with 22 points, and also grabbed 5 rebounds. Luke Harangody scored 18, Rob Kurz scored 13, and Tory Jackson scored 11 with 8 assists.
After a nail-biter at Villanova, Notre Dame heads back home to take on Providence.

UNC is 86-4!
Nice rebound lately as you are back to 4-4 in conference play. Your first 3 games were difficult, but now you are going through an easier stretch which is good so you can get your confidence back. Good luck in the upcoming games.Comment

And yeah, McAlarney's shooting has really helped me these last few games. Hopefully he can carry that into the tougher games.Villanova Class of 2012
