Yeah, I hate losing in multiple overtimes because it's so frustrating to play such a close game, yet you still have to put up the big 'ole 'L'.

I've switched sliders quite a bit. At the beginning of this dynasty, I was using Stewaat's, but I simply can't play pass defense with those, so now I'm using Mudtiger's Heisman Sliders. They play pretty well IMO.

Hope to see you fire a football dynasty up!

NOTE: Well, I had all this typed out with this amazing game and then THE FREAKING XBOX DECIDED TO LOCK UP WHEN I EXITED THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!

      UGH.

NOW I LOSE THIS AWESOME GAME.

I'll just go ahead and post this since it was such an exiting game and simulate the game. I have no interest in playing the game twice...

Mountaineers Win on Two Point Conversion!!!
Pat White's two point conversion in overtime wins game

Morgantown, WV (AP) - The West Virginia Mountaineers (7-4, 4-2 Big East) were in their second overtime in a row. After scoring with 23 seconds left to tie the game at 31, the game was in overtime and Bill Stewart made the gutsiest call of his life. And it won the game over the South Florida Bulls (4-7, 0-6 Big East).

After South Florida scored a touchdown in overtime, West Virginia had to respond. They did easily as Noel Devine carried the ball twice for 20 yards and strolled in from five yards out to make it 38-37. Everyone started preparing for second overtime, but then the Mountaineer offense remained on the field. Pat White took the snap, rolled out to the left and ran in for the winning two point conversion attempt to win 39-38. The crowd went wild and the ESPN announcers were astonished at the gutsy call in the snowy conditions in primetime.

"It was sure a gutsy call," Stewart said, "but I'd had enough overtime last week. I thought about going for two when we scored with 23 seconds left in regulation, but deferred. After South Florida scored, I wasn't interested in losing another multiple overtime game and thought we could catcth [South Florida] off guard. I'd say we did and Pat [White], being the winner that he is, ran in to win the game in his final regular season and final home game as a Mountaineer."

Pat White didn't have a phenomenal game on the stat sheet in his final home game, but he made several clutch plays, including the game-winner. He finished with 72 yards rushing and 96 yards passing with a touchdown and an interception, which was the result of a pass slipping through Arlic Arnett's fingers and wasn't White's fault.

Noel Devine stole the show, though, as the sophomore surpassed 1,500 rushing yards on the season with his 145 yard rushing performance. He also scored twice.

West Virginia was outgained by South Florida 402 yards to 349 and committed two turnovers to South Florida's one, but still found a way to win and send the seniors home winners.

Reed Williams finished off the final home game of his career with 10 tackles on defense.

                Ellis Lankster Wins Thorpe

Morgantown, WV (AP) - West Virginia's Ellis Lankster was awarded the Jim Thorpe Award today as the senior cornerback had a marvelous season.

Lankster tallied 32 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, a sack, 11 pass deflections, and nine interceptions in 2008 as he helped to shore up the inexperienced secondary.

"Ellis had a great year and did a great job of teaching our young secondary," explained West Virgina head coach Bill Stewart. "I wish him all the best."

Lankster was also the only Mountianeer placed on the First Team All-American list.

No West Virginia players made the Second Team or Freshman All-American squads, but the Mountaineers filled up the All-Big East squads. Below are the West Virginia All-Americans selected:

CB Ellis Lankster, Jim Thrope Award, First Team All-American, First Team All-Big East
HB Noel Devine, First Team All-Big East
LG Greg Islandser, First Team All-Big East
C Mike Dent, First Team All-Big East
DT Chris Neild, First Team All-Big East
MLB Reed Williams, First Team All-Big East

                      Bowl Preview
                      Meineke Car Care Bowl

Charlotte, NC (AP) - The West Virginia Mountaineers (8-4, 5-2 Big East) will face off against the Virginia Tech Hokies (8-4, 5-3 ACC) in this year's edition of the Meineke Car Care Bowl.

This year's matchup is quite intriguing since both teams used to play for the Battle for the Black Diamond Trophy yearly until 2005, when scheduling conflicts supposedly ended this series.

However, the rivarly will be renewed come December 29th at 1 PM in Charlotte, NC as the two teams will face off for the first time since 2005, a matchup in which Marcus Vick and the Virginia Tech Hokies handed the Mountianeers their only loss of the season on the way to their Sugar Bowl victory.

West Virginia ranks #1 in the nation in rushing yardage and will face off against the Hokies' ninth-ranked defense. Virginia Tech's ninth-ranked rushing attack will face off against the Mountaineers' #8 rated defense against the run. Stopping and executing the ground game will likely be the key in this one for both teams.

"We're ready for the challenge and ready to renew the rivarly," said West Virginia head coach Bill Stewart.

                      Other Big East bowl games:
                      Papajohns.com Bowl - Connecticut (6-6) vs. Nevada (7-5)

                              Mountaineers Crush Rival Virginia Tech
31-14 halftime lead propels Mountaineers to 45-29 Meineke Car Care Bowl win

Charlotte, NC (AP) - The West Virginia Mountaineers (8-4, 5-2 Big East) and the Virginia Tech Hokies (8-4, 5-3 ACC) played a close 14-14 game in the first quarter, but that would be all as the West Virginia Mountaineers would outscore the Hokies 31-7 the rest of the way to win 45-29 over their rivals.

Noel Devine was largely responsible for West Virginia's immense success as the sophomore speedster tallied an unprecedented 301 rushing yards and a trio of touchdowns on 31 carries, an average of 9.4 yards per carry. He had four runs of 20 or more yards.

Pat White went down with an injury late in the third quarter and sadly ended his collegiate career on the sidelines, but Jarrett Brown was handed a 17 point lead and easily maintained that margin, as he completed two of three passes for six yards and a touchdown in relief to go along with 13 rushing yards.

"I wasn't a bit nervous when Pat went down with that lead," commented West Virginia head coach Bill Stewart. "Pat gives us the best chance to in, but I had completed confidence that Jarrett could hold on for the win, especially with the way Noel was playing."

The win gives the Mountaineers nine on the year and it gives them a 9-4 record overall and a 5-2 record in Big East play to close out the season. "Overall, I'm impressed with how we finished off this year," said Stewart. "After starting out only 3-2 in non-conference play, we were still able to turn it around in Big East play to go 5-2 and tie for second place (West Virginia technically finished fourth since the Mountaineers lost the tie-breaker to Cincinnati and Louisville). We were happy to get to the Meineke Car Care Bowl and especially happy to play our rivals and we sure did a heck of a job."

Your season sounds way too much like the real season, even down to the Meineke Car Care Bowl. LOL I would suggest the same thing to you that I would to Bill Stewart, please get rid of the offensive cancer that is Jeff Mullen.
