Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
2033 SEASON IS HERE!
With the transition from Madden to CFB 25, I have spent days attempting to re-create the dynasty from Madden to continue it over. I've gotten it as close as possible with the CFB 25 Editing restrictions they have. But with that being said, I am going to go ahead and start the 2033 Season effective immediately on CFB 25! I hope those that have been following continue to follow! The dynasty continues! We will begin the 2033 Season with a Fall Camp Preview that will summarize as much as possible to keep the show going. Hope you enjoy!Comment

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
With the departure of several key contributors to last year's National Championship team, Head Coach Cameel Verner understands this time around will be different than in years past. While the Noles return every Quarterback from last years team, the vast majority of production left the Seminoles for the NFL Draft. The Seminoles return only one starter on the Offensive Line, and only four Starters from Defense.
"This year is about developing a new identity. Last year is over with. This is a brand new team and preparation will be pivotal." said Head Coach Cameel Verner. "We have a good group of guys who are ready to work. It's our job as coaches to put them in the proper position to thrive. And that is the key for this camp." he continued.
QB POSITION CHANGE?
While the Seminoles return both Signal Callers from last year, one of them appears to be lining up at a different position this year. Junior QB Sha'Dar Walker looks to be making a transition from QB to RB this season, even changing his number from 0 to 5. At 6'2" 223, with his speed(4.43 speed), he has the physical tools to make the adjustment. The question now begs how well does he adjust to that position.
With Walker moving to another position, it seems the Fall Camp battle will be between 3 of 4 scholarship Quarterbacks. SR Clay Tillman who has plenty starting experience, or will it be one of the rising up and coming Redshirt Freshman. Five Star Terry Washington, or Four Star Ko'Dallas Avery. The Quarterback battle will be one to watch for sure as the Redshirt Freshman bring a unique set of talent to bring to the Florida State offense this year.
RUNNING BACK
The Seminoles lost 3 of Running Backs from their 4 deep rotation from last year. The only returning Running Back with meaningful snaps is Homerun hitter Vontae Marshall who ran for 717 yards last season, but averaged a whopping 11.9 yards per carry. This year, he will be joined by Redshirt Freshman Zaire Hampton, and two True Freshman, former Five-Star Rohkan Fredrick who is the son of former Florida State Hall of Famer Charles Fredrick, and Uncle Ross Fredrick. And Four-Star battering ram Kijon St. James. The Seminoles while stacked on talent on paper, have very minimal game experience with these Running Backs on the roster. It will be very interesting how the coaching staff will utilize this young talent.
WIDE RECIEVER/TIGHT END
Chris Brown led all WRs last season and was drafted in the 1st Round of the NFL Draft.
Another group that doesn't have much game experience. The Seminoles return one starting reciever from last year and that is Ja'Christian Anderson who had 45 catches for 735 yards and 3 TDs a season ago. He will be surrouned by a ton young talent including former Five-Stars RS-FR Darcy Miller, and True Freshman D'Juan Davis. Cody Toole at Tight End will return as one of the most Well-Rounded Tight Ends on the roster who can do both Block and Catch fairly well. But the guy to really keep an eye on is former Five-Star True Freshman Gavin Houston who is 6'8". Houston was the #4 Overall player in this past class, and was also the #1 Rated basketball player in the country as well. While Houston will need time to develop physically, the Seminoles definitely could use his Height and athletic ability early on. It will be interesting to see how well they utilize his abilities early on. This young yet talented group will definitely be one to most certainly keep an eye on.
OFFENSIVE LINE
Florida State lost 4 starters from this group. While they recrutied the nations best OL class this cycle, that group is still a ways off from being physically ready to contribute. With that being said, the Noles have recruitedin the trenches pretty well as of late, so putting the peices to gether will be something that the coaches will have their hands full on if they want to dominate the trenches like they did last season. The run game was extremely pivotal in winning a National Championship last year, I dont see it being any different this season. The Seminoles do however return sure fire Top-10 Pick in Left Tackle Synnquan Evans (6'7" 320). However he's the only remaining starter from last years team.
DEFENSIVE LINE
Even though the Noles run a 3-3-5 Defense, their front 6 is still extremely important. Especially the front 3. The Noles do not return a single starter from their 3 man front from a year ago. All 3 players have gone on to be drafted. And as we know, the Noles were one of the most physical Defensive Lines in all of College Football. Replacing those 3 will not be easy. The Seminoles however have a ton of talent in place to help though. Junior EDGE Alaadin Bouye is the lone returner with valuable experience. He finished last season with 19 tackles and 5.5 sacks, 8 TFL. He's a valuable piece to a Defense that LOVES to set the tone up front. EDGE SO Shawn Ray Butler could be penciled in as the other EDGE across from Bouye. The Seminoles did however have a very good Defensive Line class up reloading what they lost. Will they be ready and prepared to contribute in Year 1 this year is the question.
This is where on paper, the Seminoles are Ultra rangy, Ultra Athletic and extremely scary. Headlined by the 'Do it All' LB, Former Five-Star Sophomore Ken'Rell Davis at 6'4", 234 he runs a 4.37 and and will line up all over the field for the Noles. Last season as a True Freshman, Davis lined up at Safety, Defensive End, and All 3 Linebacker spots. The middle of that Linebacker Corps is led by David Grier who is the #1 LB on the NFL Big Board. But outside of Davis and Grier, the Noles have promising talents that have yet to have a huge impact for the team as of yet. Long and Rangy guys such as Redshirt Freshman Chris Davis (6'6", 235), Freshman Santana Goodman (6'7" 225), Marion Whitehead (6'6" 240), Jonathan Stephens (6'3" 232) Just to name a few. The Noles have a cupboard of talent at the Linebacker position and Head Coach Cameel Verner definitely knows a thing or two about how to produce linebackers.
SECONDARY
The Seminoles lost the majority of their Secondary including the Heisman Trophy winner Ja'Carius Kidd who went on to be the #1 Pick in the NFL Draft. Replacing Kidd will be a daunting task as Kidd completely shut down one side of the field every game. The Noles do return Sophomore Eric Igwe (6'3" 200) who played opposite side of Kidd last season. The question is, what corner is going to play the opposite side of Igwe this season? The Noles have a lot of star-studded talent but it seems all positions are up for grabs in the Seminoles 5 man secondary. Blake Boyson returns for his Junior campaign as he looks to lock down the Ace position. The Hawk (Slot DB) position is definitely up for grabs as Redshirt Freshman Andrew Sullivan (6'2" 205), RS SO Chris Sanders (6'2" 200) are viable guys to take over that spot. Five Star Tedarius Brown (6'1" 190) comes in as a Highly Touted cover corner who also would like to take over that spot as well. The Noles have a bunch of toys to tinker with when it comes to their 5 man Defensive Backfield. The Fall will truly determine whos ready to take that leap.
Stay tuned for more Fall Camp Coverage!Comment

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
Fall Camp has concluded! The Seminoles now turn their attention to their season opening game next week against #4 Auburn. But before we dive into next weeks Top 5 opening matchup, we will review both Offense, Defense and Special Teams for the 2033 Florida State Football team.
OFFENSE
There are a lot of concerns questioning the Offense going into the Season opener. The biggest question mark, is who will take snaps under center ? The Head Coaches have yet to name a Starter. With Junior Sha’Dar Walker, who was last years predominant starter, moving to Running Back it leaves the options down to three players. Redshirt Senior Clay Tillman, Redshirt Freshman Terry Washington, or Redshirt Freshman Ko’Dallas Avery. While nothing is official,
Avery was the most impressive throughout Fall Camp. He just seems to have that “it” factor. Washington received all the press with his lofty Five-Star ranking, and he’s a definitely a talent. But Avery seems to just have a knack for making plays. We believe the starter is down to a two horse race. The presence of Tillman without a doubt has helped the development of both the Freshman, but their talent is just superior to Tillman. I’m sure coming soon the coaches will announce who will spear-head the Seminoles offense in 2033.
At Running Back, the Noles have a ton of talent and Freshman RB Rohkan Fredrick is undoubtedly the best of the pack. While its hard to deny is DNA Pedigree (Nephew of Seminole great Charles Fredrick). Frederick at 225 pounds is a freight train with immaculate footwork. Last years returning leading rusher Vontae Marshall delivers a change of pace to the attack with his speed as well. The Noles have a stable of capable runners in their backfield, albeit not having a ton of experience.
And lastly, the receiving corp has the ability to be explosive. They are big, and extremely athletic. Freshman Keonte King, has flashed several times in camp. The great Grandson of the Seminole Great Charlie Ward comes to no surprise. And Freshman Tight End Gavin Houston will be extremely hard to keep off the field. At 6’8” he’s just a pure mismatch at that position. The biggest question is who will be taking the reps at QB to start this season for the Seminoles.
OFFENSIVE LINE
This Fall Camp is where things got interesting. Outside of Junior Left Tackle Synnquan Evans( 6’7” 320) who is pegged as a Top 10 Draft pick, the Noles have a lot of question marks on the Offensive Line. There was a lot of rotation happening to find the unit that worked the best together. From what we saw in camp, this was a struggle. It will be interesting to see what combination of starters the Seminoles will go with to start out against Auburn next week. From the looks of things so far, OL is the weakness of the team up to this point so far.
The defense looked very consistent during spring camp. There were a lot of guys that really stood out on that side of the ball. LB Jonathan Stephens 6’3” 232 is one guy to keep an eye on in the fall. The Junior from Sparta,TN is an imposing figure and looks like he has taken the next step in his career. Junior DB Blake Boyson is also another name that flashed a ton this spring.
The Defensive Line however does not look as dominant as last season. Edge rushing appears to might have taken a step back, however that can be unfair to asses as Florida State boasted one of the best Pass Rushing units in School history last season. But from observations from camp, it does appear the Noles lack a consistent pass rush presence and that’s even from an with an Offensive Line that’s pretty shaky.
The Linebackers and Defensive Backs however more than make up for the lack of pass rush. The Seminoles have an extremely aggressive Linebacker unit. And the Secondary plays very well on the backend as well. Sophomore CB Thomas Spiller looks to be the guy to take over the reigns as CB 2 this season. He’s been very good in coverage all camp, and has also been phenomenal in run support. This is arguably one of the most intense DB groups I’ve seen in Cameel Verners tenure.

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
OPENING WEEK !
Opening Week is here, and Florida State Football is Back! The defending 2032 National Champions are set to kick off 2033 against a stiff, tough opponent in #4 Auburn! While a Top 5 Opening Week match-up is always great for fans, the coaches have a lot on their plate. And we will digest what the Seminoles are up against as they look to defend their National Championship this season.
SCOUTING REPORT
The Noles will their hands full against Auburn’s SR QB Kyle Eastman. Last season, Eastman had a phenomenal year throwing for 3,404 yards 42 touchdowns and only 9 interceptions. Eastman is extremely athletic and mobile as well as he also had 644 yards rushing on the ground.
“We have to stay true to our assignments” said Head Coach Cameel Verner. “They have a Quarterback that can really get after it. And if he gets in a rhythm, he’s hard to stop” he continued.
Auburn’s secondary this season is pegged to be one of the best in the SEC. And with Florida State only returning one WR with significant playing experience, the corps will be thrown into the fire early and often. Auburn is led by All-SEC Corner Emett Horner, who had 6 interceptions last season.
While the Noles understand how good the Auburn secondary is, they will rely heavily on their run game. Cameel Verner has often done an immaculate job of setting the tone with the run, and with a young team, it will be crucial to get the run game going.
CAMEEL VERNER ANNOUNCES STARTING QUARTERBACK
Former Five-Star QB Terry Washington will start vs #4 Auburn Saturday.
The Seminoles will start out 2033 with a new face at Quarterback. He announced earlier that the first drive of the game will go to former Five-Star Terry Washington.
“It was a very close battle during camp, but we are going to go with Washington to start. He’s got a pretty good knowledge of what we are trying to do within our system, and we understand there will be some mistakes, but we believe he gives us our best chance to win. K.D. though will still see the field. He’s to good of an athlete to keep off the field” said Verner.
High School Profile
Washington, a former Five-Star Quarterback who was Redshirted last season will be thrown into the fire early against a very stingy Auburn defense. Luckily, atleast his first start will be in Doak Cambpell Stadium.

GAME RECAP
Spoiler
What a win in for the Florida State Seminoles as they defeat the #4 Auburn Tigers in 4 Overtimes. After the game, an elated Cameel Verner had a lot to say about the resiliency of his football team.
“These kids kept believing. The never quit. They trusted the gameplan and continued to execute it no matter what. I’m proud of the way they handled adversity today. This was one of the most amazing games I have ever been apart of in my life. “ he said.
The Noles struggled mightily offensively early on, while the Defense did everything they could to keep the game from getting out of hand. Junior LB David Grier echoed those sentiments as Auburn’s offense was one of the best he’s ever seen.
“Keeping Eastman in check was tough. He’s such a great player. Those guys are tough on offense. They are going to score a lot of points this year” said Grier
But late in the 1st Quarter, with the offense struggling mightily, the Seminoles and Offensive Coordinator Hayden Kiser decided to make a change at Quarterback. Going from Terry Washington to Ko’Dallas Avery.
“We felt like KD’s legs would give us an advantage. But he came in and took the bull by the horns and made some crazy throws. We kind of threw him in the fire though. We only expected the change to be for a series or two just to allow Terry to see what Auburn was doing from the sideline. And things just went on from there” said Kiser.
Ko’Dallas Avery went on to complete 50% of his passes for 236 yards and 3 Touchdowns in the game. His most impressive passes were two deep ball touchdowns, one to SO Darcy Miller, and FR Keonte King. King’s only catches came at the end of the game to put the Noles on top in the 4th Quarter. Kiser said King’s speed was the difference.
“We were looking at that matchup all game long. Tso Cyrus had exposed it early on, and we felt Keonte’s speed would hit a homerun. “ said Kiser.
And he was right. King’s touchdown put the Seminoles in position to take the game into overtime, where the Noles didn’t attempt a single pass.
“Yeah, in OT we leaned on that run game. The OL found a rhythm, we felt like the Tigers defense was a bit worn out. I mean, it was hot today. So we definitely leaned on the run game and kept pounding it” said Kiser.
The Noles improve to 1-0 on the Season and retain the #1 spot in the polls. Next week the Noles are at home again as they host UTEP.
TWO SEMINOLES RECOGNIZED WITH ACC AWARDS
Two Seminoles were recoginzed with Player of the Week Awards for their efforts against Auburn in Week 4.

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
WEEK 1
Florida State stays at home this week as they take on UTEP who is preparing for their season opener. Last season the Miners finished 10-3 in Conference USA and returns the majority of their starters. Head Coach Cameel Verner knows the Noles cant look past this UTEP team, and looks to have the Seminoles primed and focused on the task ahead.
"This is a good football team we are preparing for. They've had a week to prepare and scout, so this will be a fight. We've got to have our kids ready to go to battle and we expect a lot of body blows this week. How we respond, is up to us." he said.
Ko'Dallas Avery to start at QB
KD Avery went 14-28 236 yards and 3 TDs in a backup Winning effort vs Auburn.
Offensive Coordinator Hayden Kiser made it official this week. K.D. Avery will start this week vs UTEP. He spoke with us yesterday on his reasoning behind the move from under center.
"K.D. has had a great week of practice. I think throwing him into the fire last week really gave him confidence. This week might have been the best week of practice he's had since he's been here. So, he's the guy were going with. He understands the gameplan and I think he's poised and ready to get after it. " said Kiser
The Noles remain significantly healthy coming out of a long and war driven battle against Auburn last week. Kick off this week vs UTEP is set for 3:30 PM ET on ESPN.Comment

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
GAME RECAP
Spoiler
The Noles breeze by UTEP in their second contest of the season. The Noles improve to 2-0 on the season and keep a stranglehold on that #1 poll ranking early on in the year. Against the Miners, the Seminoles had a breakout performance from Freshman QB Ko'Dallas Avery who dramatically improved from last week. Offensive Coordinator Hayden Kiser said K.D. had his best week of practice, and it absolutely showed. Avery completed 77% of his passes for 256 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also chipped in 49 yards rushing as well. Kiser raved about his Freshman QB after the game.
"He played phenomenal. He got us in the right checks, the right reads. Pre-snap he did amazing. He's definitely a playmaker. It's the confidence we're seeing that's building. We just have to keep preparing and keep growing." said Kiser.
Former #4 Overall player in the country coming out of High School, TE Gavin Houston had a game to remember in his first start as a Seminole. At 6'8" 225 pounds, Houston was coveted by every major program in the country in both Football and Basketball. He opted to spend his career at FSU for footbal;. He notched his first career 100 yard receiving game vs UTEP, hauling in 4 catches for 104 yards, including a highlight reel grab over a UTEP defender for a 54 yard gain.
The Seminoles did a masterful job of utilizing his unique skillset lining him up all over the field against UTEP. At 6'8" and his leaping ability makes him a very tough matchup for anyone on the field.
"He's a unicorn." said OC Hayden Kiser. "He allows you to do so many things because he can do so much. He has a very high ceiling. But at that height, combined with his speed and athletic ability, he's most definitely a matchup nightmare" he continued.
The Seminoles pass rush ignited against the Miners registering 9 sacks on the day. Led by Junior LB Jonathan Stephens who registered 3 sacks on the day and 9 total tackles. While it's great the Noles hit home that many times, and doubled the amount of hurries, they still allowed 330 passing yards that has Defensive Coordinator Ryan Dukes had high praise for the rising Linebacker.
"He is coming into his own. He sat for 2 years, waited his turn, which is very uncommon nowadays. But he's really coming into his own. He's been working hard, and its showing. I'm so proud of that kid" said Dukes.
The Noles were looking for someone to take over that Pass Rush role and it appears Stephens might have taken that challenge head on.

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
In a short week for the Noles, they prepare to take on App St in their first ever visit to Doak Cambpell Stadium on Friday Night in a Nationally televised affair. Last week during their opener, App State defeated South Carolina 30-21, in a shocker. App State comes into Tallahassee with all the confidence they can take down the #1 team in the country. However, Cameel Verner as always, vows to have his team ready and focused.
"They played a very good South Carolina team out of the SEC last week and came out victorious. Theyve got a heck of a system over there. They have veteran guys who's been around the block a few times, and are poised. It's a short week for us, so we have to work double to make sure we are ready to go." said Verner.
This is the first ever Friday night game for Florida State in Cameel Verner's 6 years with the Seminoles. While it might be unfamiliar territory, it's still business for usual for the National Championship Head Coach.
STINGY DEFENSE vs OPPORTUNISTIC OFFENSE?
Last week App State held South Carolina to 52 yards rushing and 134 yards passing. Last season, the Gamecocks were Top 30 in both Categories. Albeit the sample size is small with it only being one game, it's still impressive. Florida State this season however is a bit of a different juggernaut offensively. They have scored over 40 points in both games so far this season. And are currently Red-Hot with Ko'Dallas Avery at the helm. Offensive Coordinator Hayden Kiser understands he has to keep the Seminole offense going on Friday to keep their streak going.
"We are still in a mode where we have to understand who we are and what we do well. And this App State team is very gritty, very scrappy. First and foremost we have to take care of the football, because teams like that pounce on every opportunity to take away possessions. There has been an intense focus on that for this week" he said.
The Offensive Line coming into the season was a big question mark for the Seminoles. But two games in, they have been a pleasant surprise. There is definitely a size discrepancy between the FSU and App State this week. It will be interesting to watch the battle in the trenches as the Noles continue to look for their offensive identity for 2023. With KD Avery at Quarterback, the Noles are a much different team than with Terry Washington at Quarterback. The Noles are averaging 6.1 yards per carry so far on the ground this season. But with KD Avery at Quarterback, they have evolved through the air as well. It's clear that the Offensive Line will be key to watch and be a big determining factor in the outcome of the game.
CAN PASS RUSH REPEAT ITSELF?
Last week the Seminoles dominiated up front and registered 9 sacks. Can the Noles duplicate that performance on Friday night? App State has a honorable passing attack, and if the Noles get no pressure it will be a long night. Junior LB Jonathan Stephens, and EDGE Alaadin Bouye are currently spearheading a deadly duo pass rush attack. Defensive Coordinator Ryan Dukes illustrated the importance of that pass rush again this week.
"App State has some weapons. That's the first thing that jumps out on film. They looked like they belonged in the SEC last week that's for sure. They have some guys that can go. So we have to definitely get pressure up front and make it difficult for those playmakers. " he said.
The Noles kick off on ESPN at 7:00 PM ET in its first Primtime night game of the season and it's first Friday Night game in Cameel Verner's head coaching career.Comment

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
GAME RECAP
Spoiler
'
The Seminoles were tested very early in a battle against App State on Friday Night. App State jumped out to an early 6-0 Halftime lead. The Seminoles defense played lights out, but the offense could not get going early on. Offensive Coordinator Hayden Kiser noted his concerns at that particular time in the game.
"We got away from the things we thought could work and that's 100% on me. At half time, we regrouped, saw somethings we thought we could take advantage of. Afterwards we just continued to pluck away. We made enough plays to take control. Just happy our guys stayed focus and stuck with things even though we had a bit of a roadblock at first. Hats off to a incredicbly coached App State team. " he said
After trailing 6-0 at the Half, the Noles looked to Sophomore WR Darcy Miller right out the gate. Miller took a pass 70 yards to the endzone igniting the Seminoles offense who went on to score 27 unanswered points to end the game. OC Hayden Kiser again highlighted the importance of that touchdown in the second half.
"It was huge. Darcy is a playmaker and we needed to get the ball in his hands. We felt an easy completion could get the offense rolling. But when you have a guy like him, it really changes things. " said Kiser
DEFENSE CONTINUES TO DOMINATE
The Seminole defense has gotten better by the game this season. And by the numbers, it was the best complete game all season. While the offense struggled, the Seminoles defense were dominant. Led by Junior LB Jonathan Stephens who finished the game with 15 tackles, 2.5 sacks and 4 tackles for loss. He was an absolute menace on the field today. The Noles defensive front was just way too much for the Mountaineers to handle. Cameel Verner had a lot to say about his defense afterwards.
"They played Seminole football today. Outstanding effort by those young men. They were challenged, put in precarious situations, and answered the bell all night long. I'm just proud of these young men who did an amazing job all night long." Said Verner.
While the Seminole defense as a unit played outstanding, the play of Jonathan Stephens made national headlines as he won the National Player of the Week award. While he had a magnificent game, LB David Grier also had a great game registering a team high 17 tackles on the night. The Noles will have a much deserved by week next week as the prepare for their ACC opener against GA Tech in two weeks.

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
NEXT UP: BYE WEEK / GEORGIA TECH
The Seminoles enter their first Bye week of the season sitting at 3-0. With impressive victories over #4 Auburn to begin the season, and two others coming to the likes of UTEP and App State. While the Noles started early in Week 0, Head Coach Cameel Verner states that the Bye Week comes at a very opportunistic time. It allows them to regroup and heal bumps and bruises early on in the year.
"We've got some guys banged up. Which is normal with the schedule that has been given to us. We've had 3 really good physical opponents. We are lucky to not have any serious injuries up to this point. But the Bye allows us to watch some film and clean up some things that we really needed to focus on." said Verner.
In the way too early Heisman Rankings, the Seminoles have a Front Runner in LB Jonathan Stephens. He has been an absolute menace the first 3 games of the season. So far this season, Stephens is 2nd on the team in Tackles with 34 , wtih 13 Tackles for Loss (leads country) and 5.5 Sacks (Leads Country). Stephens is on track to shatter a lot of single season records for the Seminoles at this pace.
"He's a great athlete and a heck of a ball player. He can play so many different positions for us which makes him deadly. Very versatile. He has a bright future ahead of him" said Defensive Coordinator Ryan Dukes.
Ko'Dallas Avery who took over as the starter after relief duty against Auburn has had one heck of a start to his collegiate career. While completing 57% of his passes with 8 touchdowns, he's entrenched himself as the starter for now for the Noles as they look to repeat as National Champions.
"He continues to get better and better each week" said Offensive Coordinator Hayden Kiser. "He's a guy that loves to put in the work. He works so hard every day in practie and in the film room. It's one of those things that is extremely contagious in our locker room. He's a great athlete, but that only gets you so far at the Quarterback position. His maturation is only going to continue to make him better and better" he continued.
The Noles will travel to Atlanta next weekend to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Even though the Noles have a bye week, the country still has a lot of games on the table that can define the playoff race. And the biggest game of the week is ACC vs SEC yet again. #4 NC State vs #3 Georgia.
Even though that is the game of the week, there are also other games on the slate that willl be very interesting to watch as well.

WEEK 4
UP NEXT: GEORGIA TECH (3-0)
GAME RECAP
NOLES DEFENSE STEPS UP AGAIN IN 24-14 WIN
The Noles defense once again steps up to the plate and delievers another dominant performance. The Noles walk away with a win in the ACC opener against Georgia Tech. The win is a big one as the Noles look to defend their National Championship and ACC championship from a year ago. Head Coach Cameel Verner understands the importance of taking each game one game at a time.
"You cant take any game for granted. Prepare for every game like its your last. These kids did an amazing job of carrying out their preparation. Defensively we would like to clean up some things, but overall we did what we needed to do to walk away with the win. " said Verner
For the second week in a row, the Seminoles have a National Player of the Week. Last week Jonathan Stephens held the honors vs App State with an incredible 15 tackle 3 sack performance. This week, its CB Eric Igwe who had 3 interceptions 1 for a touchdown. Defensive Coordinator Ryan Dukes had a lot to say about the performance of Igwe this week.
"He's a heck of a talent. Our game plan was to definitely leave him in an island in most situations, and when they attacked that matchup he continued to deliver. When he plays like that it definitely makes play calling much easier" said Dukes.
Creysac's long journey paying off
To begin his FSU career, FSU DL Jevar Creysac was redshirted.. Last year, as a Redshirt Freshman, he was deemed academically ineligible. The native from Miami,FL contemplated hard on returning back home and transfering to a program possibly closer to home.
"It felt like the harder I worked the further I got pushed back. Things just kept happening and I just couldnt understand why. " said Creysac
But after much deliberation he opted to stay at Florida State and finally had a breakout game against Georgia Tech. Creysac finished the game with 4 tackles and 2 sacks on the game. Cameel Verner was elated with his performance.
"I'm so happy for him. He's been working hard and battling some setbacks. It was good to see him get out there and do things that helped the team. He's earned this moment" said Verner.
The Noles gear up for their first road game this season as they take on West Virginia in the second ACC game of the year Saturday night.Comment

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
MOVING FORWARD
So the game has been amazing so far and I ended up finishing out the 2023 season. Ive had so much fun I didnt want to do the write ups on games, I just wanted to keep the fun going. So in summary, we ended up losing to Unranked and Last place in the ACC Baylor. But still made the CFB Playoffs. In those playoffs we made it to the National Championship game but ended up getting destroyed by Michigan 54-20. The game never really was close. Michigan really beat us in every phase of the game.
Fast Forward to 2034, We finished with the #2 Recruiting class in the country. As we gear towards 2034, here's the roster and roster breakdown for the 2034 team. Moving forward I'm going to try to do my best to not get carried away with the game and continue to push out content for this on-going dynasty.
2034 ROSTER
Here we will breakdown position by position the Seminoles roster in 2034. What are the strenghts and weaknesses coming into this season? What can we expect from this team? 2 National Championship appearances in 2 seasons is nothing short of amazing. But what can be expected of this particular group? We break it down here.
Quarterback
The Seminoles got it's lone commitment from 3 star Jay Duckett. During the Spring, former Five-Star Terry Washington (#3 overall player in the class of 2032) opted to transfer. Which leaves the QB room pretty bare outside of returning starter and ACC All-American Ko'Dallas Avery. The signs were pretty clear that KD Avery would return as the Noles starter. And with the talent of Washington it was a foregone conclusion that he would be okay being a backup for the second consecutive season. The Noles don't have a proven backup after Avery, so this will definitely be a position to watch during the season.
Running Back
Lots of depth and experience in this group. It returns all of it's leading rushers from a season ago, including Vontae Marshall and Rohkan Fredrick. The addition of Transfer Duane Linder from Miami adds another bruiser to the fold. The Seminoles have the ability to be extremely versatile with its Running Back group. Speed, Catching ability, and Power from a number of different backs. With the depth of this position it's likely that all incoming Freshman will Redshirt.
Additions: Duane Linder, SR (6-0, 233) Havana,FL - (Former School: Miami)
WIDE RECIEVER
This group has a ton of talent. The most former Five-Stars of any position group on the roster. Size, speed, talent. With the departures of Ja'Christian Anderson and Tso Cyrus to the NFL it opens up opportunities for younger talent to step in and impact early. Freshman Five-Star JaMichael Truman could have an instant impact as he can impact the game on the ground or in the air. Look for the Noles to line him up all over the field. Keonte King is still by far a deep threat nightmare with his speed and size. Darcy Miller returns for his Junior year as he was the Noles most explosive playmaker a year ago. The Seminoles have a lot of toys here to play with and it will be interesting to see the utilization.
Tight End
Former Five-Star Gavin Houston added much needed size this off-season and looks to be ready to take over the role as a full time starter. He flashed a ton of greatness last season. He's probably the most athletic player on the team and looks to continue that this year. Now the bigger question is who will be TE #2. The Seminoles will have Four brand new faces at the TE position as all four look to take over the reigns of playing time as FSU uses a lot of Two TE sets in their offense.
Offensive Line
The Noles might have the biggest Offensive Line in Football, Collegiately or Professionally. And to boot, the Noles went out and acquired 3 Transfers from the Portal to help make sure KD Avery is protected this season. The Noles struggled at times last season on the OL, and really honed in and addressed those issues this off-season.
Transfer Additions:
Richard Suggs (6-7 , 340) Cocoa, FL (Prev: Tennessee)
Shawn Turner (6-5, 345) Jacksonville, FL (Prev: Georgia Tech)
Walter Baden (6-4, 325) Jacksonville, FL (Prev: Georgia)
The three Transfers who all came from Power 4 Programs look to be one year rentals. All are Seniors and can immediatley be 'Plug and Play' players while the young lineman still prepare to take over bigger roles in the future. While the Noles are really deep on the OL this season, they have a plan in place and are executing it perfectly. This OL looks to be the best OL in the tenure of the Cameel Verner regime.
Defensive Line
The Seminoles will have have the burden of replacing Alaadin Bouye, a First Round pick and the team’s Sack Leader last season (16). While Jonathan Stephens (another First Round pick) was listed as a Linebacker, he also played a lot of reps at DE as well in pass situations. The production of both guys will be missed. Bakari Brazille who was 3rd on the team in sacks also left for the NFL. With the 3 guys leaving fo the NFL that leaves a glaring hole in Pass disruption that would need to be replaced.
On the interior, the Noles will get Prince Harris who was recruited in 2032, but was ineligible last season due to his High School transcripts not transferring over to Florida State’s institution. So, due to the mishap of academics, Harris will be considered a True Freshman this season as he never enrolled at Florida State. Harris a Four-Star prospect from Memphis,TN who was on the cusp of a Five-Star, was widely considered as the best DT in that class. And in camp he was a One Man Wrecking Crew. He is the disruptive force that Cameel Verner loves on the interior.
Former Five-Star Shawn Ray Butler (6-3, 264) from Montgomery, AL also now takes over the reigns after sitting behind two First Round Defensive Ends for the Seminoles. The only question is who will be the other end oppositie of Butler? The Noles are young at that spot but extremely talented. Braylon Fields (6-7, 245) from Oakland, CA showed flashes that he’s ready for the bright lights to continue the tradition of dominant Defensive Ends that the Noles have produced in recent years. Another guy to keep an eye on is Texas A&M transfer Antoine King (6-4, 256). King, a Senior, has been making waves during Fall Camp since transferring in. Shyquan Drake (6-5, 249), a transfer from South Florida is another guy to keep an eye on.
The weakness of the Seminoles last season was its ability to stop the run. The focus this offseason was to get better against the run. And it starts up front. The addition of Prince Harris helps, but the Noles will look to a trio of Defensive Tackles to help in that area as well. JR Suri French (6-3, 334) Jevar Creysac (6-5, 295) and Martel Landry (6-6 , 345) are the main players to keep an eye on to be the anchors of a stout run defense.
The Noles have a ton of options on the Defensive Line this year. We will keep an eye on how the coaches handle this talent rich position this season.
Transfer Additions
SR Antoine King 6-4, 256 (from: Texas A&M)
RS JR Shyquan Drake 6-5, 249 (from: South Florida)
LINEBACKER
The Seminoles are very unique with their Linebackers utilizing the 3-3-5 defense. And with that said the front running Starters at Linebacker are nothing short of a basketball team. Santana Goodman (6-7, 232) , Chris Davis (6-6, 230), Marlon Whitehead (6-6, 240) and Ken’rell Davis (6-4, 235) are the Outside Linebackers for this electric defense. Their length , range, and speed should prove viable in the passing game with their ability to disrupt passing windows.
On the inside, former Five-Stars Redshirt Freshman, Sanchez Donga (6-1, 226) and True Freshman Evan Tremble (6-2, 225) will help lead the inside for the Noles. The adjustment this season will be on passing situations how well does Donga and Tremble play in coverage. For the past 3 years, David Grier who was drafted in the First Round , was an every down Inside Linebacker with his exceptional coverage abilities. Who takes over that role this year will be a big question mark.
SECONDARY
The Noles lose Eric Igwe and Blake Boyson to the NFL. But the good news is they return the majority of last years production this season. Chris Sanders (6-2, 200) the starter at the Hawk (Slot Corner) position returns as a Pre-Season All-American. The Noles return Former Five-Stars Tedarius Brown (6-1, 205) and Thomas Spiller (5-11, 195) who look to start on the outside.
On the back end the Seminoles were able to snag ACC All Conference Safety Desmond Kershaw (6-3, 226) who transferred from West Virginia. Kershaw will play all over the field for the Noles this fall, as he can switch between Safety and Linebacker in certain situations. He looks to fill the role that Boyson played for the Noles the past 3 years.
Also at Safety, the Seminoles were able to ink the signature of Five-Star DB Adrian Gomez-Moore from Houston, TX. Gomez-Moore was the #5 overall player in the class of 2033. The Noles did a great job reloading a stacked position group as it heads into 2034.
PRESEASON RANKINGS
2034 Schedule
The Seminoles open the season with two Top 25 opponents before beginnining ACC play. Last season the Noles opened vs Auburn who were then ranked #4 and won in an overtime thriller 44-47. This season they open on the road in Orlando vs Northwestern before traveling to the Plains in a rematch vs Auburn.Comment

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
UP NEXT: WEEK 1 vs 19 NORTHWESTERN
'
Football is back! And the Noles are back in action in Orlando, FL at Camping World Stadium as they prepare to take on #19 Northwestern to kick off the season. Last season, the Seminoles came up short in it's effort to repeat as Back to Back National Champions losing to Michigan 51-24 in the College Football Playoff National Championship. The Noles did not take the pummeling too well, and the returning players will look at this season as a shot at redemption.
NOLES TO BE WITHOUT STARTING QB
Breaking news to start the year however. Last years Starting QB, Redshirt Sophomore Ko'Dallas Avery, will not be in action to start the season against the Wildcats. Avery has been suspended for this weeks game due to violation of team rules. This really hurts the Seminoles as the Quarterback Room has become extremely thin as last years backup, Former Five-Star Terry Washington transferred back home to Oregon as he will be the starter for the Oregon State Beavers this season. Last season Avery accounted for 4,744 yards on 63% completion rate with 44 Touchdowns. He also added another 552 yards rushing with 6 Touchdowns. Returning for his 2nd year as a started proved pivotal as the Noles look to return back to the College Football Playoff.
Starting against Northwestern will be Redshirt Freshman Antwaan Fortier out of Avondale, LA. Fortier, a former Three-Star Dual Threat Prospect will earn his First start in his first ever game as a Collegiate athlete. His backup, will be True Freshman, another former Three-Star Prospect, Jay Duckett. With two guys with little to no experience coming into this game, Head Coach Cameel Verner still has high expectations for his offense.
"This is what you come to Florida State for." said Verner. "The gameplan remains the same. Next man up. He's had a excellent week of practice, he knows the tasks ahead of him. It's time now to just go out and get the job done."
With Fortier getting his first starting experience in a Neutral Site environment, I dont fully expect the Noles to have the same gameplan as Verner alluded. The Seminoles are big upfront and have a slew of capable Running Backs this season. I would expect the Seminoles to be lean on that strength this game to come out of Camping World Stadium victorious.
The game will air live on ABC.Comment

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
GAME RECAP
Spoiler
The Noles come away with an impressive 48-35 Victory over Big 10 for Northwestern at Camping World Stadium. The Seminoles who were without last year's starting Quarterback, Ko'Dallas Avery still managed to be extremely impressive on the offensive side of the ball. Redshirt Freshman Antwaan Fortier in his first career game finished the game 13/19 195 yards and added 52 yards rushing on the ground with 2 Total Touchdowns. Offensive Coordinator Hayden Kiser had a ton of praise after the game about Fortier's performance.
"I think he did phenomenal. As the game went on he got more and more comfortable. We were able to open the playbook up more and more as the Quarters went on. He played extremely well." said Kiser.
On Offense while the Noles had 195 yards through the air, the story of the contest was the Seminoles running for 240 yards on the ground and controlling the contest. The Offensive Line, with all of the Pre-Season hype, lived up to it's billing. The Seminole OL throughout fall-camp was described repeatedly as "Physical, Menacing, and Large". It checked all those boxes during the contest.
Defensively, the Seminoles controlled the line of scrimmage, and created a ton of turnovers. However, The Noles gave up a number of big plays early on in the passing game. Defensive Coordinator raised a bit of concern about that in the contest.
"We didn't play our best football in the First Half. Most of our mistakes were correctable. Looked to be first game jitters. We busted a few coverages, but in the 2nd half we looked a bit more focused." said Dukes.
And Dukes is correct. In the second half the defense nearly pitched a shut out outside of the garbage time score towards the end of the game when the game was already in hand. The Seminoles will look to be more consistent as the season continues as they iron out the kinks.
Question: Big win this evening for you guys. Early on it was a back and forth affair. What was the difference between the first half and the second half for you guys?
I think everyone just settled down defensively. Offensively we started off pretty well. I think Fortier handled everything like a professional. I'm very proud of him. But defensively I just think we had to settle in. Northwestern is a very good team. So you can't give them the opportuntites we gave them. They will take advantage every time. So it was just about slowing down, breathing and just carrying out your assignments.
Question: Coming into the season you were really high on your Secondary. Northwestern had 405 total yards passing, do you still have the same high regard for your secondary?
Nothing has changed in my thoughts. We had a few busted plays that led to long touchdowns. But when we settled down, we played Florida State brand football. The Second half was much better. It was more that I was accustomed to. We've got work to do. But I'm still very confident in our kids on that back end.
Question: You guys lost two very crucial Defensive Lineman from last years team who are now playing in the NFL. And last season, stopping the run was a weak point for the team, how does the dominance of stopping the run tonight show the progression of that group? 26 carries for -6 rushing yards is an impressive statline.
Stopping the run was an extreme focus in camp this year. Run fits, gap integrity, being physical and active. We were relentless in camp this year. We have a good group up front who understands the need for being aggressive and physical and making teams one dimensional. I'm extremely impressed by our front. The next step is consistency. The group must remain consistent in order for us to achieve the goals we want to achieve.
Question: Ko'Dallas Avery was suspended for this weeks game. Will he be available next week? Fortier played well today, are there any Quarterback controversies?
That's a question that we will handle internally as a staff and when it's ready to be announced we will. As of now we are going to enjoy the win and get ready to head back to Tallahassee and tomorrow get ready for a tough Auburn team next week. Thank you.
