My account is still having major issues. I personally can't see anything I post unless I a creating a new post. I also can't see any comments left. Even if I try and comment in another person's thread, I get a Data Base Error and I can't see my comments left on said post.

I created this new profile and so far I havn't gotten a error message.. I have left multiple messages for forum Admins (Steve OS) on Friday but havn't hear back.

ooh VTech vs OSU in the quarters. I may be mistaken, but didn't they beat you in the playoffs at one point with FIU?

        To Redsox..

I can see your message but it won't let me quote it in a response..

Yes my last year at FIU I lost to Virginia Tech in the Semi Finals before they went on to win the Natty over Kentucky.. So there is some history for sure..

FIU DOMINATES END OF YEAR AWARDS

I forgot to post this before the Playoffs started but FIU flat dominated the Awards show this year.

FIU HC Coach Barry Valdez won Coach of the Year edging out Ohio State' Matt Miller who finished 2nd.

FIU OC Clayton Dees won the Broyles Award for Best Coordinator. DC Jose Phenix finished 2nd well Ohio State OC Nate Phoenix finished 3rd..

FIU QB Kevin Pounds performance in the ACC Championship game propelled him in the votes as he not only takes home the Heisman, but also win the Natoinal POY Award as well as the "Best QB".

FIU DE's Ify Owusu and Kenny St Pierre end up #2 and #3 in a close vote against Virginia Tech's Zach Whitehair for the "Defensive Player of the Year". He also wins "Best DE"

Ify Owusu however would win the Lombardi, as Whitehair finishes #2 and St Pierre #3.

FIU JR SS Tyreke Harmon was name the "Best Defensive Back"

Miami's SR MLB Karlos Jones edges out FIU's OLB Dillon Brown and MLB Cade Faulk for "Best Linebacker"

Georgia's JR WR Joshua Tubbs edges out FIU's Emari Boenzi for "Best WR", well Boenzi also finishes #2 in the Heisman vote and National POY to Pounds.

FIU's Taylor Coxie somehow is named "Best RB/Doak Walker" over Ohio State's Dave Jones despite the fact Jones had better #'s. In fact Jacksonville State's SR RB Willie Doyle actually had better #'s then both of them and he finished 3rd.

So I got a message for Steve OS Forums. They are not sure what's going on but for some reason my thread seems to be fixed and I am not getting the error, so I am going to get some things caught up. Hopefully you all can see everything being posted cause I can now.

              PANTHERS DOMINATE 4TH TO ADVANCE!!

              GAME RECAP

#8 Seed/#7 Ranked TCU kept things close in the 1st half tying the game (7-7) at the end of the 1st Quarter and again (21-21) with under 2 minutes to play but FIU would take a 7 point lead into the locker room as QB Kevin Pounds hits RS SO Ian Kamalu on a 82 yd bomb to make it (28-21)..

FIU opened up the 2nd half with the ball and would quickly settle for a FG by FR Trevor Costanzo making it (31-21). Both QB's would throw INT's to finish out the 3rd Quarter.. TCU then opened up the 4th with a touchdown as SO WR Cardale Trufant (81) takes a Jet Sweep 74 yds to the house to make it (31-27). TCU would go for the 2pt conversion and convert to make it (31-29) with over 8 minutes left in the game.

FIU leading by 2 points extends their lead to 9 as Kevin Pounds throws his 4th TD of the game find Emari Boenzi on a 16 yd score to make it (38-29).. The FIU Defense would then force a turnover on downs after going for it on a 4th and 8.. Pounds not looking to take any chances keeps the ball himself and scores on a 19 yd run to extend the lead to (45-29) with just over 4 minutes to play.

Again the FIU Defense comes up big sacking QB Randy Clausen (86 Ovr) 3 times as TCU turns the ball over on downs for a 2nd straight time.. Sticking with what worked FIU stays with the ground game as Pounds caps off another scoring drive to close out the game as FIU pulls away with the 23 point victory. FINAL SCORE FIU-52 TCU-29

                BUCKEYES CRUISE TO VICTORY

                GAME RECAP

#2 Ohio State dominated the 1st Quarter against #6 seed Virginia Tech jumping out to a early (21-0) lead as QB David Ledford throws 3 TD's to 3 different receivers.

The Hokies opened up the 2nd Quarter with a touchdown as former FIU Panther SR QB Derek Hawkins (90) throws the first of his 2 TD's on the day hitting JR WR Joe Foucha on a 57 yd score to make it (21-7).. The Hokie D then stepped up to pick off Ledford setting up a 13 yd TD run by SO RB Steve Wilbon (74) to make it (21-14) but Ledford responds by hitting SR Gill Alexander on a 62 yd bomb to make it (28-14)..

Then it was the FIU Defense stepping up to pick off Hawkins to close out the 1st half as Ohio State goes into the locker room up by 2 scores.

V.T. opened up the 2nd half with the ball and quickly cut the lead to (28-21) as Hawkins throws a 85 yd bomb to Foucha. Ohio State responded back with a 12 play drive capped off by a 13 yd run by Ledford to make it (35-21).. V.T. would add a 33 yd FG to close out the 3rd Quarter making it (35-24)..

Neither Offense did much in the 4th as Virginia Tech finished the day 0/9 on 3rd downs resulting in 7 punts on the day including 2 in the 4th Coach Miller normally pretty aggressive on 4th downs actually elects to punt twice in the 4th as well.. Virginia Tech still trailing with 3 minutes to play had no choice but to try and go for it on 4th and 7 and the Buckeye Defense comes up with the stop, setting up a Monty Carty 21 yd FG to close out the game...FINAL SCORE OHIO STATE-38 V.T.-24

Derek Hawkins finished the game 11/23 (47%) for 266 yds with the 2 TD and 1 INT. He also ran the ball 7 times for 14 yds.

                KEY BUCKEYES

                  OTHER 2ND ROUND ACTION

#5 Seed Georgia defeated #4 Marshall (38-21) to advance to the Semi Finals to take on #1 seed FIU..

The game was actually tied at the half (21-21), but Marshall would go 0/3 on 4th down try's in the 2nd half leading to 17 unanswered points by the Bulldogs

Georgia JR QB Sidney Hyde threw for 414 yds with 4 TD and 1 INT in the win. JR WR Joshua Tubbs was his #1 target catching 6 balls for 194 yds and 3 of the 4 scores.

#10 Seed Miami defeats #3 LSU (38-34) to advance for a rematch with Coach Miller and the Buckeyes..

Trailing (17-10) at the half, the Hurricanes outscore the Tigers (14-3) in the 3rd Quarter to take the lead (24-20) entering the 4th and matched LSU's 2 touchdowns with 2 of their own..

SR QB Legend Coffee threw for 353 yds with 3 TD in the win.

JR RB Roy Flowers had 14 carries for 48 yds and 2 scores and had 4 rec for 46 yds

SO WR Eric Costa had 3 rec for 124 yds and 2 TD's, JR WR Andrew Draft had 8 rec for 103 yd and 1 TD.

                    HOMEFIELD ADVANTAGE TO MUCH!!

Could Coach Miller make it 3 in a row vs the Hurricanes?? After going 1-4 in his first 5 matchups with the Canes at FIU, Miller would beat the Canes in the 2031 playoffs to end Miami's season.. Then after moving to Ohio State, the selection committee looking for high ratings put the Buckeyes and Canes on a collision course to meet in the Semi Finals last season.. Miami came into the game (14-0) but Miller and the Buckeyes came away with a (38-24) win holding Heisman winner Legend Coffee to just 218 yds through the air..

Tonight would be Playoffs Part III.. But Miami would already start out with a slight advantage as the 2 teams would meet in the Orange Bowl at Hard Rock Stadium..

                    GAME RECAP

Miami got things going early as Coffee hits Eric Costa on a 57 yd bomb to open up the game (7-0).. Ohio State would answer as David Ledford hits Jabu Gayton on a 3 yd score to tie the game (7-7).

Still tied (7-7) with under 2 minutes (1:40) in the half, Ohio State would take the lead (14-7) as Ledford finds SR WR Gill Alexander on a 58 yd bomb..

Ohio State opened up the 2nd half with the ball but the Hurricanes Defense comes up big picking off Ledford for what would be the 1st of (4) 2nd half INT's..

Coffee and Costa would hookup for TD #2 (3 yds) to tie the game (14-14) with 4:40 to play in the 3rd.. Ohio State would drive the length of the field but facing a 3rd and goal from the 3 yd line, Ledford would drop back to pass and is sacked coughing up the ball for a fumble as Miami takes over inside the 10.

The Hurricanes would turn the turnover into points as Kyle York kicks a 36 yd FG to close out the 3rd Quarter giving Miami the (17-14) lead.

On the opening drive of the 4th, Ledford would throw INT #2 which would turn into a "Pick 6" as MLB Karlos Jones (Linebacker of the Year) takes it 31 yds to the house to extend Miami's lead to (24-14).

Ohio State had a smaller glimmer of hope as Ledford hits Ja"Darius Abbott on a 15 yd score with 7:24 to play to make it (24-21).. Then it was the Ohio State Defense coming up with a big stop forcing a punt with 6:48 to play but on the first play of the drive RB Dave Jones coughs up the ball for the 2nd fumble of the game... Again the Buckeyes D holds though getting the ball back but the CPU God's were not done playing their tricks as Ledford's pass hits Gill Alexander in the chest bounces over 1 defenders head before dropping into the outstretch arms of MLB Karlos Jones again for turnover #3..

Miami would look to put the nail in the Buckeyes playoff coffin as Coffee hits SR Dillion Yancey on a 45 yd strike to make it a 10 point game (31-21)..

Despite 3 INT's and a Fumble, Coach Miller stuck with his QB as Ledford leads the Buckeyes onto the field with just under 4 minutes to play but facing a 3rd and 17 after taking a sack, Ledford's pass to Alexander is picked off by JR CB Derwin Archo (his 2nd INT)..

Ohio State actually would get 1 more chance on offense with under a minute to play with RS FR Abdul Diabate taking over under center.. Diabates first pass attempt is a 50+ yd bomb that is dropped by Alexander down the sidelines.. Pass #2 goes to Pappoe on a slant route that is also dropped.. Pass #3 is a over throw to Guyton who was wide open on a out pattern that could've gone for a score, and pass #4 ends up being another drop by this time by Abbott who was 35 yds down field and 10 yds away from the the closest Cane defender...

**In all of my Dynasties I can honestly say I have only felt like I have been screwed over by the CPU probably 4 times.. My TTU loss to Nebraska in my mind still ranks #1, but this one I feel like is a close #2.. 1 of Ledford's INT was legit.. The Pick 6 was questionable and the last 2 were just stupid.. Balls bouncing off Buckeyes.. then off other defenders.. I finished the game with 6 drops yet 3 of them all come on the final drive of the game.. It just seems a little fishy..**

Coffee only finished 11/22 (50%) for 202 yds with the 3 TD and 1 INT. Costa was the only WR to have more then 2 catches as he finished with 5 for 106 yds and the 2 scores.

RB Roy Flowers (95 ovr) had a pretty solid game 20 carries for 86 yds

                    KEY BUCKS
                    QB D. Ledford-25/45 (55%) 413 yds 3 TD 4 INT, sacked 6 times, -30 yds rushing 1 Fumble

                      GAME RECAP

The FIU Panthers are 1 step closer to capping off their first ever perfect season as they head back to the National Championship game for the 2nd year in a row as they look for their 3rd title in the past 6 seasons..

Can Clayton Dees be just the 2nd Player/Coach to have won both National Championship as a player and coach.. (Notre Dame's Frank Leahy has 6.. 4 as a Coach and 2 as a player).

Georgia kept this one close with the Defense coming up huge in the 1st half picking off Kevin Pounds twice to take the (10-7) lead with under 2 minutes to play but Pounds rebounds to guide the Panthers into Field Goal range as FIU ties the game (10-10) at the half.

FIU opened up the 2nd half scoring as backup RB Marvin Ware breaks his longest run of the season and his career with a 64 yd touchdown to make it (17-10) but Georgia answers back to tie the game (17-17) on a 53 yd pass from JR QB Sidney Hyde (84) to JR WR Tremaine Keener (84) with 7:06 to play in the 3rd.

That would be it for the Bulldogs though as FIU retakes the lead late in the 3rd as Fullback Alejandro Higgins rumbles in from 4 yds out to make it (24-17)..

Hale would open up the 4th Quarter throwing a INT to SR CB Cordale Ryder which leads to a 45 yd TD pass from Pounds to JR WR Walter Abiamiri to make it (31-17) with almost 9 minutes still to play in the game..

Georgia however would fail to mount any type of offense in the 4th as the Bulldogs punt twice.. FIU would extend the lead with a Taylor Coxie touchdown run with just over a minute to play to make it (38-17)..

The Bulldogs put in SR QB Marquez Zimmons (79) for the final drive of the game.. Zimmons completed 3/3 pass's for 37 yds before time ran out.

Hyde finished 13/28 (46%) for 248 yds with 2 TD and 1 INT.

                        WE'RE BACK!!!

Unfortunately it was short lived for Coach Miller and OSU. I feel like fluke interceptions and holding penalties are the CPUs way of trying to hold you down. Sucks to go out that way, but at least FIU is still alive and kicking!

Shame to hear about the account issues - glad it looks like everything's back to normal here!

Tough defeat for OSU - the number of guys you had injured may have played a part, but it's also so frustrating when the CPU is unbeatable and gets every break no matter what you do. At least FIU is still cruising - that national title tilt with rival Miami should be a classic!

I am totally fine losing games, it's a reason why we have sliders. I don't think it would be that fun or a a good read if I wad beating opponents 70-0 every game so everyone is always trying to find that perfect setting to give fun but challenging games. It's just frustrating when yoh get a game with 4 bogus turnovers.

I still havnt decided what I am going to do at QB. I think at this point I am like 50/50 on just rolling with my incoming 5* next year and transferring out Leford and Rezinick along with a couple others ang give them a chance to find a team to start somewhere else.

Yeah it was crazy. The forum Admins are still not usure what was causing it.

My team was somewhat healthy for the playoffs. I think i was down to just like 4 guys out and most of them had been out almost all year. It wad just bad luck. The FiU/Miami game should be fun. I obviously know them well. I am a little concerned because it is in their home stadium and I have scored over 50 points. It wouldn't be the first time I have beaten a team 3 times in the same season. FIU did it against ECU and TTU did it to Nebraska

Weird thing is it wasn't just your thread, I saw it happening in a handful of threads. Then on Monday afternoon anything but the main page for OS was giving me a database error. If i clicked on the link to go to the forum it gave me the error. Logged in or not, it cleared up about 2 hours later, but still weird
