Re: As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
So far, after tuning the QB acc sliders down I'd say missed passes are quite well done. Coverage is another story, however.
QB play is still a huge problem though. Instead of trying to force some of these difficult passes I we need to see QB's throw the ball away, and QB's take the easy scramble. They can do a decent job evading in the pocket, but they are way to obsessed with passing when the running is the better option.
I've played a number of games against QB's who should take easy yards with their feet and they just prefer to throw into coverage or try to fit the ball into a really tough spot. I didn't bother to call any spies or contains. I completely ignored defending Cam Newton and Russell Wilson's legs, and it was of no consequence in the game.
These QB traits just seems to mess everything up.Comment

Re: As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
After seeing a few of these QB statuettes I noticed that the receivers will run their routes, then stop. They freeze and if they are not open the QB holds the ball waiting for them to move or break out into the clear. Once they do move the QB will move and sometimes throw, or by that time they are sacked. Maybe we need to look at brain dead route running too?Comment

Re: As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
Ok so the Force Passes Trait is called Aggressive and it's the same thing as Balanced.
Carson Wentz: Main Menu Roster shows Forced Passes as Aggressive, but if you go into CFM and edit the player, it will show as "Balanced". But even in CFM when you click on him, click Stats/Contracts/Awards, then hold L2 until you get to Traits it will show him as having Forced Passes - Aggressive.
I don't know why EA has it as Balanced when you edit a player while in CFM. It's the same result though.Comment

I'm not good with "average" on pressure sense either. I'm seeing similar behavior as with "oblivious". The only ones that seem to work well are Ideal, Paranoid and Trigger Happy.Comment

Do you think it's the same though. Agressive and balanced? This was the same problem last year. At main menu some QBS would have aggressive. But in CFM it would change. Could be a placebo affect, but didn't think they forced passes as much

Honestly I think me and D81SKINS put just about all starters at ideal in 17. Raised awareness. Elite QBs still had much higher attributes in other areas to make up the difference. Besides scrambling QBs, that was another issue all together

No. Scrambling was something I personally gave up on. I think D81, might have had moderate success. He may have put paranoid in there somewhere. I try to look it up

No, sorry, I just meant QB traits in general. Seems like another modifier tacked on that was just asking to mess up AI decision-making.
Going to try the edits.
It is disappointing in general since I love what the game has to offer overall.Comment

Paranoid trait. Ideal at forced passes. Throw away passes yes. And run and gun offense.

Edit: I also remember something about raising their RB type abilities for game played against them as well.Last edited by cable guy; 08-25-2017, 06:48 PM.Comment

I wonder... based on limited games I have seen this:
Playing against Newton and Wilson: zero statue sacks and instances of scrambling.
Playing against Goff: a couple statue sacks, zero scrambling.Originally posted by Therebelyell626I am going to create a team called "the happy town fundament rapscallions" and hurt your already diminishing image
