I can see Paul Brown for sure but i'm not too certain about Ralph Wilson though I wouldn't be surprised if he's one of them. We as fans don't know exactly what kind of concessions are being made to the players so maybe those guys have a legit complaint. So let's not automatically paint things with a broad stroke here.

Agreed these are closed door negotiations and none of us know what options are being address and what deals have been thrown on the table. I ain't taking sides on this. All I want is football and wish they would figure something out even if it's a temporary one year CBA just to try and discuss this while we still have football.

Note: I don't know if the temporary CBA is even a legal option

Just guessing that's all, no harm intended. Those 2 were the owners who voted against the current deal.

Personally, it's a shame that a handful of owners keep standing in the way of progress. Maybe they should start looking at the way they conduct their own business, or even if this business is for them.

A temporary CBA doesn't really do anything but prolong the labor problems and compromise the owners position. Both sides just need to get it done.

Ideally there is a deal they are equally happy (or unhappy) about so that it can be longer than a couple years.

I can guarantee you that Paul Brown isn't standing in the way of any of these negotiations. He died 20 years ago. Now his son is another story.

I was watching TSN tonight and here's the latest CBA proposal by the owners that's getting a lot of traction in negotiations:

                        - There'll no longer be "designated revenues" but players will now be able to get 48% of total revenue shares

                        - A salary floor will ensure that all teams will have to spend up to 90% against the cap

                        - There'll most likely be a rookie wage scale but won't be ironed out til the revenue split is agreed upon

                        - Unrestricted FA will occur after 4 years

This isn't something that i'm really looking forward to. I spend Thursday's watching TV with the GF. Unless skins are playing this game wont get raitings in my house.

How is that more football? It just means another game which would be on Sunday is moved up. It's really the same amount of football just spread out.

Yeah, I'm not really feeling the season long Thursday Night Football games, especially if it's with the atrocious NFL Network announcers.

Besides, I work on Thursday nights and would rather not have to take off for a Patriots game.
