Wasn't Sal Pal, it was George Smith apparently. Knew I was laughing too hard to remember details.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

If the players are mad about the process - which is all I've seen them complain about - they need to swallow some pride and get this thing done. Otherwise they're just trying to deflect backlash on their inability to get this wrapped op on their own terms.Comment

Re: Official CBA Thread
You make it sound like the owners flew off to some island for a month and worked out what the new CBA will be, which is obviously not the case.

The Players already came this far and as much as I want football they might as well get what they waited this long for.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Official CBA Thread
The owners ratifying tonight is really going to make the players look like the bad guys to the public. All the fans think this thing is all over now because the owners agreed to the new CBA, but from what I'm hearing, the players want a global settlement and since there are still issues remaining, they sound like they're not going to accept the new CBA or atleast vote on it tonight. I was really hoping the players would vote on this tonight and agree to it so we all can get past this and enjoy the football season. I'm seriously tired of hearing about the lockout and when Goodell stepped up to the podium and announced all the details for the upcoming season, it really put some life back into me.
I don't really know why the players are making it a big deal, I dont understand why they can't ratify and then the NFLPA and the NFL can settle the remaining issues before the season starts. And now we all have to hear about the owners ratifying probably for the next couple days until the players ratify.Comment

Re: Official CBA Thread
IMO the owners where just being greedy when they opted out in the first place. Now that they are looking at losing the preseason money, they are panicking. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: Official CBA Thread
Goodell isn't exactly involved in the deal making really if i'm correct, it was more of a talk to see how they could get this all started if both sides agreed and about certifying, etc.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

I love the genuine frustration from everyone involved with NFL Network's coverage right now. Especially Rich Eisen. They're fans and this sucks for them just like it does for us.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

What this need is Goodell and Smith taking control of the situation and doing whatever it takes to fix it ASAP, otherwise we're in for more missed preseason game and a complete abandonment of trust.Comment
