McDaniels has three interviews today so the interest is clearly there.

If the report that Sportsforever was referring to earlier comes to fruition I think San Fran would actually be a great fit for him.

I don't know what kind of success McDaniels will have this time around as far as wins and losses go, but I think he could be a "better" HC this time around. I venture to guess he was humbled by his tenure in Denver. Clearly his ego got him in trouble (Tim Tebow in the first...?). I remember his celebration after beating the Patriots in his first tenure seemed immature to me.

I think he could be a good fit in LA, same for Kyle Shanahan. They can clearly focus on offense early on and let someone run the defense. They have talent on the roster just not sure about the front office, don't need to go to a HS organization as a retread IMO.

And that is for a Non-Publishing subscription as well.

$250 JUST TO LOOK AT STATS?!?!?!

I'd be happy with Caserio/McDaniels. I think McDaniels got a little too much flak for his time in Denver, and I think he's learned from his mistakes there.

What's the deal with Eliot Wolf? I've read that Thompson plans to step aside so Wolf can take over in GB. I've also read that Thompson has no plans to step aside and Wolf may be legit interested in the GM job in SF. He interviewed for it Thursday.

Wolf wanted the Detroit job when it opened up but apparently the Packers wouldn't give him permission or whatever, that's what I've read anyway.

Wolf is well sought after in the league, either the Packers promote him or his gone.

As of last night, Caserio turned down an interview with the 49ers and is happy in his current role with the Pats. McDaniels will probably be the 49ers coach, though.

Apparently, the Packers new GM hunt has thrown KC GM John Dorsey into the hat. Any Chiefs fans care to shed some light on his history as GM of the Chiefs? I know he started in GB, but don't know much about him.

He was Director of College Scouting between 2000 - 2011. There is a pretty impressive list of draft picks in that time.

True, but I wonder how much of that was Ted going with what he said and Ted making up his own mind who he was drafting. Ted has had some blunders as well. Justin Harrell, Im talking about you.

Yeah supposedly GM candidates are being warned to avoid the 49ers.

However, apparently the Chiefs declined the 49ers request for Ballard because they may lose Dorsey.

Meanwhile, these videos remind you of what happened in Denver when McDaniels was there:

I wonder if he's really matured since then. Or if he's burned bridges not only in Denver but with assistant coaches around the league if he does get a HC job, because how many would want to join him?

Interesting that he tried to steamroll the GM in Denver and made life hell for everyone in the building.

If Jed York thought Harbaugh wasn't charming enough, looks like McDaniels could be even worse. Which I wouldn't mind, if he made it unpleasant for Jed and Paraag Marathe.
