New ownership factors into making a change sooner rather than later too.

When Khan fires Gene, the new GM isn't going to want to continue with Gabbert. Guarantee that.

It helps a lot with Henne at QB.

Gabbert did show some improvement. It just wasn't at a consistent enough level. He looked better in the pocket this season and showed some promise. Not saying he is the answer, but he did improve upon last season.

Interesting comparison between Brees and Henne

First 4 years starting in San Diego.
        TD-INT Ratio
        11-15
        17-16
        24-7
        24-15

        Henne in Miami
        12-14
        15-19
        4-4 (only played 4 games)
6-1 (in basically two starts) (so far)

Say Henne starts next year maybe we get that 24-7 year.

Not saying he is the next Brees I am just saying give him a chance. Maybe he just needed a change of scenery.

I think you're joking, but I think its cool. Its always interesting to me to see guys in their off-the-field lives.

Its like in an episode of The Association: Brooklyn Nets this year when they showed Brook Lopez buying manga.

I think alot of that is moreso due to the constant changing in Front Offices such as Ownership changing(and they're most likely not going to want to wait 2-3 years for that player to pan out when they purchase the team)and/or new GM/Coaching coming in as well. Not to mention, that people don't have the patience to wait 2-3 years for player personnel moves to pan out and they want to see success right away.

It does annoy me a bit though lol, because I hate douchebags like this. And it pisses me off more because he's sucked balls this year after tearing it up last year. If he's a douchebag but he produces (like Arian Foster), I have less of a problem with it. Not to say that Barwin is sucking because he's a douche.

With 1st round QBs not breaking the bank the way they used to, I think you'll continue to see the decline in number of chances to prove themselves. No longer will a team have to keep sticking a bum out there just because he's the highest paid guy on the roster. Look at the middle round rookies from the past that would get a shot to start, they'd get maybe a handful of games to show what they can do and if they didn't produce that was it.

They're still going to get 3 years and you can make a case for whether that's enough time or not.

Ya'll make it sound like eventually they'll be getting 1 year to prove themselves before they get replaced, lol.

                          Canadas NFL coverage is pathetic.

Only 1 NFL game on TV right now and that's it. Jets,Pats,Bills(3 main teams shown,at least where I live) aren't even on TV.

Instead they show infomercials and some replay of a stupid "event"(I don't even wanna call what they're showing, a sport)

Also posted this in the Vikings/Greenbay thread but reposting it here:

Get this, its entirely possible Adrian can get to the 2000 yard mark which realistically he could. He has 1446 yards and needs to average 138.5 in each of the next 4 games against: Bears, Falcons, StL, Packers. Will it be tough, yes. Is it possible, absolutely with the way Adrian is running the ball. 6 Straight games of 100 yards or more. Only thing in his way are 2 stout defenses and the high chance that we will be trailing most of those games along with Musgrave playcalling.
