Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Finally got my game back on track and me and my buddy won our flight at a tournament up north. It wasn't easy, we were in last place after the first day, but I came out firing on day 2 and shot a 78 on The Bear. We entered day 3 down 4 1/2 points to the leaders but we faced them in the morning and beat them 6-3 to move into 2nd place. Then down 1/2 a point we played them for the championship, we crushed them 6 1/2 to 2 1/2. The wind completely went out of their sails when I hit a 30 foot birdie putt that went around the cup popped up and somehow dropped.
Unfortunately, I missed a putt in the alternate shot shootout and we were eliminated from the overall, but we still were champions of our flight.
I won a skin for about $200 and my friend got another one for $115. I also got a closest to the pin. Overall we took home a couple trophies and about $700 in cash and prizes.
Got a big money scramble on sunday. Then a member guest in two weeks with a lot of $ on the line.Last edited by fistofrage; 07-31-2014, 12:36 PM.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
after breaking my driver last weekend during a scramble, I searched for a driver frantically as I had a tee time set for later today. To my luck my uncle decided to give me one of his old drivers that he has laying around. Lucky for me he is a very avid golfer. He decided to give me a Callaway Razr X. So i'll be out there today testing out the watersComment

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Good luck with the new driver. Breaking one in isn't exactly the easiest thing ^^
Got two rounds of 18 planned next week - two different courses. Hoping my hard work pays off in two very solid rounds, hoping to maybe break 89 xD. The putter will be the biggest issue - I seemingly always lose strokes on the green while my chipping has been outstanding lately.
Just picked up an 58-degree wedge from my local Nevada Bob's and man, that beauty is great for near the green / and or / out of the sand.Brewers | Golden Eagles | Packers | Bucks | Badgers | Fulham FC

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
MMProtos are so sexy. Wish I had the money. Numbered to 40, engraved with the numbering and "the oven". I'm sure they're difficult to hit for a non pro, but they look so good.

Didn't even see this before I posted. They look so nice. Are they really due to come out that soon? With the limited to 40 ones, I didn't think they would fully release that quickly.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
I played the Nike VR Pro Blades last year and loved them, just couldn't hit the longer irons consistently. If these blades improve upon the VR Pro's I could see myself purchasing 7-PW in blades and the 4-6 in their Pro Combo Cavity Backs. Only issue is I absolutely love my 712 AP2's and was going to switch to the 714 AP2's next year then I started reading how Bridgestone Golf maybe coming out with a bigger product launch in Jan 2015 that will include lefty options....

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Shot 94 yesterday...hit the ball very well, but made a slight adjustment a few days ago and found out just how bad my alignment was.

Shot 89 today, but couldn't hit the range before my round because my buddy said he would caddy for me but his sister took his car
Again, hit the ball very well overall. Aim was slightly better, definitely got the feel later and even had 3 birdies in a row! (Personal best)
Was weird because tee boxes were way up compared to my practice round on Tuesday. Yardage book didnt help either lol
Anyways playing at the course I work at tomorrow for my final round. Hopefully I keep hitting the ball well because I know how to play that course (obviously) and most importantly I know those greens like the back of my hand

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
My round from today. Had a really good front 9 then had some thoughts creep into my head again on how well I was playing then proceeded to start hooking the ball bad on the back 9. Had to aim so far left so the ball would end up in the fairway, that's how bad it was. Also only hit driver twice and played majority of my tee shots with my 3 wood. I hate hitting my driver so well on the range then I step out on the course and it all disappears.
Putting improved somewhat which I was quite pleased with, but 33 putts to me is still too high. Had some decent looks for birdie but couldn't convert any.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Played in a skins game today. Shot 42-34 with an eagle and a couple birdies on the back. Ended up winning $110. Funny thing was after I had a few beers in me, the putting and ball striking really came around.............Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment
