Normally I use Titleist NXT Tour or Callaway HX Hot golf balls, but when I'm playing with my dad I'll sneak some of his Pro V-1's.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
I use really anything. But I really like NXT's and bridgestone e6's. But, I don't think it really matters what ball you use, if you aren't a pro golfer or have a really low handicap, then it probably won't really affect your game at all.Comment

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
We would always make fun of our golf coach in HS because of how cheap he was because he got them from the same place, 99% of them have some kind of weird design or cartoon character on them. I played a round with a spongebob ball once at a HS tournament....Comment

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Played Saturday and followed up my 84 from last week with a 100. Awful day. Shot a 53 on the front 9 (last week was a 41). I had a work softball game Friday night, and it completely screwed my swing up. I did much better on the 19th hole than on any otherHopefully tonight (work league) goes better - as long as it doesn't rain...
As for golf balls, I've been using the Bridgestone e6 balls recently and like them a lot. Any time I've used a Pro V1, I've liked them as well, but never wanted to spend the $$ on them. Now that I'm not losing many balls, I might splurge on some as I really liked them a lot.MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Quail Chase is a beautiful golf course. Played there about 3 weeks ago. Its a 27 holes facility that isn't too terribly long(some holes are a beast), and has some of my favorite holes in all of Kentuckiana.
I hope you get to play the East course, as I would say its the signature 9 of the golf course. The first hole is a great nerve tester whether you are teeing off for the first time on the day, or the first hole of the back 9.
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they take great care of the course. Only problem is if it rains the night prior, as the course has some swails in it that retain water.
Let me know how your outing goes, as I shot 98 there. 47 on the South Course, 51 on the East. Shot a 9 on the opening hole of the East course, after plunking my approach shot into the water, and then 3 putting.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
The nike guy was at work last week and he was selling brand new nike ones, for $24 dollars. I switched to the Srixon Z-star this spring (from Top Flight DD2 feel.) and really like that ball. I bought 4 dozen balls from the nike guy 2 Nike One and 2 Nike One Tour D. It rained on saturday and I had a lot of honey do's on Sunday. Has any one played nike balls. I really like the fact that I can spin the Z-stars, for some reason they are the only ball I can spin. But I figured at about 50% off regular price I could atleast buy the nike and sell them if I don't like them.Moderator

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
I played Saturday & shot 81, played Sunday & shot 80. Zero birdies either day. Every putt was lipping out or needed 1 more revolution. I was all around the hole, just couldn't get it in (that's what she said). It was frustrating as crap b/c I was hitting it great & couldv'e really gone low for me. I guess that's golf, hit it great one day & the next day people think you've never played before.
I played the same Pro V1x both days. I usually don't play
the x, but I got a free sleeve & I played pretty well.
Fish---I've never played Valhalla, but have plenty of friends who have played it that are much better than me & they all have cone away humbled by their high scores.PSN: Koolie_G

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Came in early today so I can take off at 3:15 for work league. Looking out the window at sunny skies and 78 degrees with a nice gentle breeze off of Lake Superior. This is going to be a long 2 1/2 hours.Comment

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
It used to be called lgbretail dot com - then they upgraded to lostgolfballs - I have never ever had an issue. The pack of balls come in a plastic bag with stirofon (sp?) in a big box. There are markings on the ball such as logos and what not - nothing terrible.
The site does a great job in explaining what type of ball you are looking for. The reason I use this method (and have done so for almost 4 years) is because it allows me to test out every type of ball out there. I know now that I cant play nike balls - they seem to heavy, and not very forgiving - so I've switched to the DT Solo of Titleist.Comment
