It sounds to me that you have a great memory of each hole you play.

Try not tracking down the score until end of the round. You'll be surprised how much better you play when you don't know where your numbers are at.

I did a Google search but nothing came up so I thought I'd ask here.

Can the offset that are on some clubs be removed?

Didn't see this thread yet. I play golf almost every day and compete in tournaments quite a bit. Just got my new set, shooting Victory Red Blades, Victory Red Limited Edition Driver and Woods, and the Method Core putter. I hurt my neck/shoulder on Thursday and went out yesterday and shot a 74. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day, felt like my swing was off.

I'd love to play golf everyday, do you work?

Golf injuries are the worst. I've realized that I need to get rid of my gut because I've started to have some noticeable back pain lately.

I work 8am-4:30pm every Monday-Friday. I have weekends off so I play every weekend for sure. I usually play 3-4 days throughout the work days, so 5-6 times a week. Today I shot a terrible +2 first 9 but followed it up with a very nice -3 second 9. Neck is still stiff but I was able to get back to my 120+ mph swing. If I would've seen this thread I would have asked OS if anyone wanted to golf with me when I went to Orlando back in May, had no one to go with so I didn't even bring my clubs.

Anyone have a good suggestion on fixing a slice when using a driver. I don't have the issue with my irons but I have a huge slice with my driver.

I had a buddy show me that I could put Pam on my driver and it would stop it from happening. Surprisingly enough it worked but I would really like to fix it naturally.

The best way to fix your slice is to figure out how the swing actually works. Messing around with grips, making sure your not too flat with your right hand is key. Also, coming through the ball with a straight right arm is key for power hitters and hitting the ball long and straight. Also, your take back can tell you a lot about what kind of swing you have. Make sure you're not too flat but not too sharp. You want to be right in the middle. Driving range is the best place to cure a slice. You don't want to be messing around with your swing on the course.

                  Love what authentic said.

I will do two things - 1) set up more on your heels than toes (not completely where your toes rise up when you're on your heels and 2) hit the inside left of the ball (as if in baseball, hitting between 1st and 2nd).

You'll start to hit it a bit straighter - maybe even a hook once in a while.

Authentic and Matt thanks for the advise will try it out at driving range.

And donkey I know it's not legal but the group of guys I play with its all for fun we aren't shooting anywhere near even. So it's more of a running joke. But it does work. I guess the theory behind it is the Pam is slippery and doesn't allow the ball to spin when struck by the club face.

The big key to fixing a slice is to fix it the right way. Once you figure it out though, the next challenge is getting your feet set up right on your drives. You'll notice you'll start to hit more to the left after you fix it. Then you face the challenge of being out of your comfort zone aiming farther right than you're use to. Challenging game but if you work at it, you can get good, and that's when it gets really fun.

What is the best way to set up feet on drive. Ball at mid stance/back foot/front foot.

I go with the ball at the heel of my front foot.

Like others have said, general rule of thumb is ball inside your lead foot. Another way I like to imagine it is if I had three balls, all lined up parallel with my body. One ball starts from the center of your stance, the next ball is beside that ball, and the last ball ends up at the heel. All while each ball touches each other.

Each ball is for certain clubs. For full wedge shots and short irons, place the ball in the middle of your stance, medium irons like your 7,6,5, place the ball slightly ahead of the middle part of your stance but not too far forward, and for long irons like 4,3, hybrids, woods, drivers, etc place the ball inside your lead foot aka off the inside of your heel.

                              Hope that helps!

I'm new to golf -- started about a month ago. More experience golfers are always trying to change my grip. I mean, its correct but the I don't 'choke' up enough on it. When I do it their way I'm yelling 'Fore!' the whole time -- when I have my grip starting at almost the end of the club I'm hitting it straight.

Thankfully I have my first lesson tomorrow -- I need to know whats right.
