    PGA 2K21 achievements are out:

PGA Tour 2K21 could be the new driving force in simulated golf. Its 30 trophies and achievements seek to shove a wedge between yourself and your free time. So browse our complete list, get the golf buggy ready, and set a course for your nearest 18-hole paradise.

    - TOUR Pro: Earn all Trophies.
    - Nananana: Sink 5 putts in a row in the putting practice without mulligans, or using Place Ball.

    - Blue Blooded: Win the Royal Championship.
    - A Masterful Performance: Win the Legends Championship.
    - Regent In The North: Win the Northwest Open.
    - This Is Major: Win the The Golf Club Championship.
    - Ace: Score a hole-in-one on an official course.

I am most intrigued by the "Making a Living" achievement, as this implies that there is a money list in-game. I haven't seen that yet in any streams, so that's a pleasant surprise, if true.

I guess at this point, the game is 2 weeks away (or whatever the date is) from being out in the wild, so we'll get opinions from more trusted sources soon enough. I wish they'd release a demo but I can wait.
It might very well make a difference, especially if lots of others got on board with you on this... I know I would! They've proven to me that they listen to feedback, but they don't respond to it or even acknowledge it as often as I think they should. Still, they surprised the heck out of me with some to the things they included in 2K21 that I thought they were ambivalent about.

Your points about the short game being a "get out of jail free" card are valid and backed up with reason. They need to hear it expressed in the most eloquent terms in which you used here. It might just be the grain that tips the scales! You've got an account over there; I encourage you to use it and make your voice heard. HB Studios is always a bit welcoming of a new voice there, so let freedom ring baby!

I don't think they understand how much they are short circuiting the whole point of proper aiming, shot selection and mastering of different clubs and shots by allowing you to basically "get out of jail free" if you miss on your approach and/or get into trouble in general.

You don't have to flop around the greens or on them like some YouTubers do. Ruff ruff.

From the looks of some of the higher difficulty levels they added cheesing around the greens is the least of the problems. I played Master in 19 looks like Pro is as hard as I can handle. You wanted to miss fairways you got it now.

I only use flop shot in realistic situations like having to go over a bunker or hill/water....to say it’s like it’s steroids or a get out of jail free card is a bit of a stretch. if it’s used appropriately, it’s fine.

Played against many people online in 2K19 who wouldn't even putt on the green, just flop shot it within 6 inches for the tap in

It's a big problem online and shouldn't be the go-to shot no matter where you are as long as you're within 50 yards of the hole

What “you” do isn’t the problem...

It’s what the person you’d be competing with is allowed to do by the software.

Guys come on… This is not hard to understand.

It’d be the equivalent in real life of someone you are competing against using an illegal club, and you guys are suggesting that we should just “not use it ourselves”?

I don't get why they couldn't specifically only allow "Splash" shots when in bunkers.

And I also don't know why they aren't forcing you to use a putter when on the green (specifically and uniquely when playing online in ranked matches - feel free to chip on the green in local matches and career mode if you want). I mean, they are keeping Putt Preview on for all ranked matches in PGA 2K21, so why not just require putter use then, too?

Good question they either can't or won't who knows but at least they got rid of the 1 iron 200 yard shot out of the rough.

Then it’s up to whoever made the competition at that point. People will always find a way to curve the software to their favor. Idk. Don’t play online or find a good sim league with good house rules. Ranked matches in multiplayer modes have always been a mess. If they take this out, they’ll find something else. With 2k maybe will finally get good post launch support as far as gameplay tuning and patches. It’s hard to say something is broken in a game that hasn’t even been released yet though.

That is my great hope also.

I agree we can’t make a final determination because it hasn’t released and I should have qualified my statements that they are all regarding what we are hearing and seeing from the streamers so far.

In all the content, interviews, Q&A, etc. for PGA 2K21, at least HB Studios has been out there saying they will be supporting the game post-release - in terms of DLC, course and MyPlayer gear additions, etc.

Seems like they are at least looking ahead at more support for the game after it comes out, so that's a positive.

It remains to be seen, of course, how they'll address any gameplay issues. They have already shut down the notion of fixing the consistent 96% swing "exploit", but as the game isn't in the public's hands yet, who knows what their post-release support will be like for sure.

I am very interested to see how they approach putting, as that seems to be the area in which most of the streamers' have a unified view - that putting is a bit twitchy compared to TGC 2019.

So weird they'd settle on a constant 96% if you hold the overswing too long..

Why wouldn't you make that be anything from 85-98% or something so it could never be gamed and was truly introducing risk of "who knows what I'll get" if you go for overswing too aggressively
