Sales may be low but the Vita is a great system...I guess it depends on what u like . I was curious about getting a 3DS since i just have to have every console out there but the games are just too dam kiddie for my liking...and with Persona 4 out that pretty much fills my rpg needs the Vita was lacking

Yeah the system itself is great. For me it ended up being a PS3.5
Never really felt any game was totally built around the VITA.

There's going to be a Fire Emblem 3DS bundle coming out in February (at the same time as the game of course). I wasn't going to buy it (Was even going to skip Pokemon X and Y like I did Black/White), by now I have to. I love anything and everything Fire Emblem.

He has even imported the japanese localization game (since it's been out for months over there and he couldn't wait. This dude can also read japanese. He also translates it with subtitles as well) and put up several playthroughs on his channel. I would advise you to check it out.

I might have got the Fire Emblem bundle if it were the XL. The XL just feels far more comfortable in your hands, bigger screens, and can display DS games 1:1.

Nintendo Will Support Japanese Games Abroad More

This new-found commitment is partly due to third-party software developers in the West focussing on what Nintendo calls "mega-hit titles for home consoles" and having fewer of their development studios produce software for handheld devices. And even though some Western developers still produce software on 3DS aimed at kids, they're not as active as they were during the Nintendo DS's heyday.

The opposite is true in Japan, where handheld devices have a large market share and many leading developers assigning their best teams to work on handheld titles.

To address this imbalance, company CEO Satoru Iwata said, "We therefore plan to more actively support the Japanese software developers in distributing their key titles overseas this year.

"Among those third-party titles both developed and published in Japan, there have been some games which Nintendo published in Europe, including the Professor Layton series. We will increase the number of such games for the U.S. market as well as in Europe. We are also willing to flexibly assist third-party developers in distributing their valuable games overseas."

Nintendo's New Free 3DS Game Giveaway

Beginning March 21 and going through April 30, anyone who buys and registers both a new 3DS XL system and a copy of either Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon or Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity will score themselves a free download of another first-party Nintendo title. There are five different games to choose from, each one of them a full retail release. The choices include:

Animal Crossing: New Leaf Release Date Announced

During its Nintendo Direct broadcast this morning, Nintendo announced that Animal Crossing: New Leaf will hit stores on June 9th in North America and June 14th in Europe.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Announced

During today's Nintendo Direct broadcast, the Big N announced a new entry in the Mario & Luigi series of RPG games. Called Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, this title focuses on the brother in green himself - in fact, it all takes place in Weegee's dreams.

Little is known as of now, other than that players will have to interact with a sleeping Weegee to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Oh, and Mario's also there.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team is set to arrive in North America this summer.

Mario Golf: World Tour Announced

Titled Mario Golf: World Tour, the game will once again be developed by Camelot and will be available this summer.

Nintendo says the game "includes both simple controls and a deeper experience for golf fans" and that courses will "range from traditional to those inspired by the Mushroom Kingdom."

Characters confirmed so far include Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi and Donkey Kong.

Nintendo Announces Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D

Nintendo has just announced Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D for the Nintendo 3DS. A few early screens were shown for the 2D platformer, which has a release date of 'Summer 2013' in North America, Europe and Japan.

Though not much is known about DKCR3D at this point, it does appear to be a port of the Wii game. Nintendo describes the game as "the smash-hit Wii game is getting a portable 3D makeover." No word yet on whether there new content is being added.

Man, nice to see some games being announced. I'd play all of those. Too bad I only have a DSi at the moment. Wanted a 3DSXL but the wife bought the DSi instead.

I'd exchange but one thing I've learned over the years is that you don't return/exchange a gift from your wife unless it is a clothing item that doesn't fit.

I got a 3ds a few months back and haven't really had time to play it much. I'd like to get an RPG that I can waste long hours on. Any suggestions? I was thinking Fire Emblem?

Damn it.

I've never bought a handheld, because I don't like playing on those small screens, but since every other system seems to have abandoned the strategy-fantasy RPG market, and Fire Emblem: Awakening seems to a fricken masterpiece, I may have to break down and buy an XL.

I played through Fire Emblem: Awakening and it's serious GotY material. It's THAT good and it's my first Fire Emblem game. Just the demo blew me away.
