I'm with you guys. I'm beginning to love the all digital format. I love not having to look for the disc, change it, etc, etc. Just hop right into whatever I want. I have a mix of digital and physical. It's frustrating when I have to get up and get that disc, but damn... that sure makes me seem like a lazy waste of space when I write it out here. lol
My problem, and I'm sure this is similar for many others. I'm in a rural area. Well, I'm not really, I'm in a town, in a sub division, so you'd think high speed would be available to me, but the best connection I can get due to old infrastructure (in a new, 3 year old subdivision, imagine that...) is a 5mpbs connection. So, that severely limits my ability to go digital. Heck, even my old house in the city (about 300k population) in a sub-division again I could only get 5mbps. It's terrible...
I was late to the party on pre-ordering Forza horizon 3. I ended up wanting the ultimate edition (or whatever the top one was called) but I was too late. So I cancelled my regular edition pre-order at the store, and went digital. My god... that 45gb or so download seemed like an absolute eternity for me.
Hopefully neither Sony or MS has that thought process again of going all digital. I understand wanting to push it, but I think you've still got to give the consumer the option until everyone has the ability to access the digital content with high enough speeds to make it reasonable.
