Aside from the sports games, I don't expect to see many of those games until mid-late 2021 or possibly 2022.

Re: New PlayStation 5 Details Revealed, Arrives Next Holiday Season
BC isn't a top priority for me. I don't replay games again unless I feel it deserves a replay after at least a few years. I pretty much played most of the games I wanted already. The primary BC games I want to play again are games I never tried and select games that are already expected to be enhanced by Boost Mode. There's a lot of games I never tried that I would like to play. I never played TLOU or HZD and some other big games. I would like to play certain games over again but only if they are enhanced. Like Uncharted 4 or even the Nathan Drake Collection is that is enhanced as well, God of War, Spiderman, Batman Arkham Collection, and some others. I haven't played any games since late last year since I sold my consoles, so I want to play the major 2020 titles once next gen version is version. Definitely want to see how GoT and TLOU2 looks on PS5.
I do think the June 3rd thing is highly like. But I know TLOU2 is suppose to drop more info on that day as well. I think they do show up hardware. If mass production is soon, then I'd imagine they'd be ready to show it off. If the rumors are true that they showed off controller based on staying ahead of leaks, then I'd imagine more so for console. Learning from Inside Xbox mistakes, showing games running on PS5 hardware and actual gameplay is the way to go. A good way to show off their backwards compatibility would be show comparison of games running in Boost Mode vs native mode. Definitely want to see tech demos showing off SSDComment

I definitely think GoT and TLOU2 will be one of the games that takes advantage of Boost Mode at launch. I wonder how Sony approaches remasters vs. Boost Mode. If Boost Mode can provide higher frame rates, resolution, take advantage of SSD, will devs push out less Remasters. Still think there will be Definitive Editions, but less Remastered. I see select PS4 games that get PS5 patch upgrades.Comment

I'm also intrigued to hear more details about the free upgrades for next gen on games. I still believe their is some marketing spin mixed in that has yet to come out.
I wonder if they will offer a free version that has some of the features that is ready day 1.Then a few months down the road they come out with something else that's a little better then what was ready at launch that you will need to buy. If they did that with TLOU2 and bundled it with some DLC I wouldn't have a problem buying it again for like $30.
I like that GoT and TLOU2 along with future titles this year should automatically be forwards compatible. So at the very least, we'll be able to play at launch then have to wait for it to be patched to be enhanced.

Re: New PlayStation 5 Details Revealed, Arrives Next Holiday Season
I'm glad it is on June 4th. I'm off that day and around that time, I put my toddler to sleep around that time for a nap anyway. First time, they really showed off a black Dualsense. So I definitely think they will have colorways at launch. I definitely think they will learn from Microsoft and show real gameplay running on PS5.
Especially since it should be a hour or so, they will take their time.
"A great deal has happened since we last spoke. Terrible things happening in the world, which puts everything that you …
""We have always said that we believe in generations. We believe that when you go to all the trouble of creating a next-gen console, that it should include features and benefits that the previous generation does not include. And that, in our view, people should make games that can make the most of those features.
"We do believe in generations, and whether it's the DualSense controller, whether it's the 3D audio, whether it's the multiple ways that the SSD can be used... we are thinking that it is time to give the PlayStation community something new, something different, that can really only be enjoyed on PS5."
I know they have said that they planned to have PS5 exclusives. But it seems like they will make all 1st Party titles PS5 after GoT. I know it alienates most of the 110M gamers who don't plan to migrate over immediately. But I'm all for it. I rather have those Exclusives to take full advantage of hard ware. That's Why I think Xbox should have kept some exclusives to be XSX exclusive. Like Halo. If you kept tout the power and recently said how people don't understand how truly powerful it is, then you should have had at least one major title that is solely developed for XSXLast edited by illwill10; 05-29-2020, 11:01 AM.Comment

Re: New PlayStation 5 Details Revealed, Arrives Next Holiday Season
I think they show a few PS4 games first as im expecting short trailers for TLOUP2, Tsushima and The Avengers since they have the marketing rights for the game. Then hardware and details. Then launch titles followed by 2021 and beyond titles.Comment

Years ago, I used to be the same exact way but when you look at PC Gaming, PS4/PS4 Pro and Xbox One/Xbox One X, you realize that unless it's an actual design decision such as the Nemesis system, there won't be any major differences outside of visuals and performance.
With Halo Infinite, it could be that there's a game design decision that won't be on Xbox One but will be on Xbox Series X like the Nemesis system. We have to wait and see though.
I'm expecting at least two exclusives for both consoles. Add in third parties and I may have up to 10 games for launch. Woohoo!!!Comment
