He opened mine up and tried to adjust the focus, but wasn't able to. It wasn't bad to begin with, but Chad is a perfectionist and wanted to make it perfect.
Then he spend a lot time in the service menu and the picture options menu. Much of the time was going back and forth getting every perfect.Comment

When its time for calibration, I'll give him a call since it sounds like he did a fantastic job on both of your TV's. So far, I'm really enjoying the Sammy with no real big complaints after tweaking some of the picture settings helped get out some grain that I was experiencing originally. It was all due to the DNie chip that Samsung uses, I turned it off.He opened mine up and tried to adjust the focus, but wasn't able to. Football continues to bring up some nice TV's, and though their tempting to checkout, I'm happy with my purchase.Comment

How can you stand it without DNIe on? I turned it off and thought the set looked much worse. Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
I know I have a different model so it's probably different for me, but with it on, everything looks very computerized/pixelated. Most calibrators recommend turning it off for the most realistic image. Of course, it's up to the individual watching it in the end.
Honestly at first I preferred it on, but now I don't. Go figure. LOL.Comment

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
DNie makes the image worse imo. I turned it off and instantly noticed a difference. Even the guys at CNet that reviewed the 56" version of our Sammy's said that DNie was something that Samsung didn't need to put into the TV.
Like mjb said, it creates more computerized image, which is like pixelization breakup that is not needed, it makes the image look like crap.Comment
