I did want the 46", I still do, it's not 1080p though, which I stated I don't really care much, I just wanted to know if anyone had that set, I do like that sony, but with a stand and a 2 years warranty, I up over $2525. Thats a lot, I mean I can do it, but that still a lot.

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
If you can afford the Sony, I would go with that, but if you can't I wouldn't put myself in such a deep hole just for a TV. If $2500+ is stretching it, why would you place that kind of burden on your shoulders? I would go with what you can afford man, and you only know that. I wish I could have gone with the 56" Sammy or Sony 1080P TV, but that would really be stretching my limits + I would have needed a new stand probably nearing $3K by that point.I did want the 46", I still do, it's not 1080p though, which I stated I don't really care much, I just wanted to know if anyone had that set, I do like that sony, but with a stand and a 2 years warranty, I up over $2525. Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
well not being too concerned right now, eben though I own the PS3, I really don't care to much for 1080p, I mean if somthing was going to be broadcasting in 1080p in like the next year then i would say yes to 1080p set, but nothing will be broadcating in 1080p for like 10 years or more, so why get 1080p now. Anyway, does anyone have or would settle for any of these two set below?

I have had a thing for the second one for a while now, anyone.
Blue Ray movies are 1080p. And you will see a difference between 720p and 1080p on those movies. Plust they will up convert 720p and 1080i to 1080p.My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
I bought an 80 dollar stand from Wal-Mart, actually I have 2 of them, and they work great. Don't pay 400 bucks for the Sony stand. I'll post pictures of them tonight. I finally got my stuff all set up since I got my new dual tuner 120 GB cable box today.
The stand is not on Wal-Mart's web site, but they have them in-store. They look very, very nice for 80 bucksand it will fit the Sony SXRD you picked out perfect.Last edited by jpup; 01-29-2007, 03:24 PM.NFL: Tennessee Titans

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
Well, I went to Best Buy this afternoon and I think I've made my decision.
The Toshiba is on sale for $799, it doesn't have an HD tuner but I don't need one because I have DirecTV anyway. All the reviews I have found online have been terrific. I also looked at the Sony KL2010 which was nice, but not better enought to spend $350 more.Comment

FYI: you can get the 37" version at Sears for the same $799. 5 more inches for the same price.Well, I went to Best Buy this afternoon and I think I've made my decision.

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
Yes, there was a thread about it which the people were very happy with it.
I just checked my armoire and I'm 1" short of being able to fit the 37" LCD.
