FF, you made a great choice, you will love it. The should have considered the 4 year warranty because you will have to replace the bulb in a couple years.NFL: Tennessee Titans

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
That is good to hear that you found a TV that you like. I was reading that this Sony doesn't accept 1080P signal over component which would render the 360 HD-DVD player useless if you want 1080P.
I still like the SXRD, hopefully you can enjoy it when it arrives.
I still want a new receiver + HD-A2, so my money will hopefully go to those later in the year.
Do you know if all SXRD's cant accept 1080p over components with the 360 HD-DVD player. I'm going to be getting the TV below very shortly and I had planned on getting the 360 HD-DVD player along with it. I guess I'll just have to live with 1080i. Thoughts?

The Samsung that I bought the HLS5087W accepts 1080P over Component, HDMI, and VGA.
If anyone does go with the SXRD, I would buy the warranty for the bulb replacement + the "green glob" rumor. I bought one for the DLP since I heard of the bulb going out and I guess the color wheel could also go out from what people were saying.Comment

Thanks, Candy. I won't be buying a new TV until next year at the earliest, but I was curious about that. Few more questions. How much are the replacement lamps for your DLP? Are they user replaceable? Are they covered by in-store warranties?XBL: Mean Greene

Are you going to get the SXRD TV now? Checking up on AVS and calling around to stores about it, sounds like you're making a switch.Comment

From the 3 stores that I called, everyone has a different opinion. Some like DLP over LCD, and vice versa.
I frequent AVS on a daily basis.Comment

No, I was just curious as to which technology is better. I want to make sure I'm not making any mistakes buying the TV. I'm happy with the Sammy, but as I stated earlier the SXRD was another nice TV that I my eye was keen on. From talking with you that you think LcOs is a better technology during the last week, it has me kinda thinking.

I stopped visiting AVS a long time ago, it gives me a headache...LOLComment
