I haven't had a chance to read it yet (will this weekend) I'm sure the revelations are going to be quite stunning. I have to say the current editorial set up (minus the editorial tinkering at times) is quite good and leads to consistently interesting stories. Perhaps more titles should be run the way the Spidey title is done.

So I have a question - does anyone have a digital subscription to Marvel and can you download current issues on a digital format?

          Wow....

OK I finally got around to reading the latest ASM. I got to say the SHED arc is just disturbing on so many levels. I especially love the artwork in this issue as it evokes horror and dread without being over the top. The Lizard is indeed no longer just a B/B+ villain now. The cliffhanger to the issue just left me with chills.

I gotta say ASM is currently the most consistently well written book i'm reading these days.

            I do.

And no. They eventually come but they're delayed.

To me it's worth it as I can read what I don't have on the go. I pray they sync this someday with the iPhone or PSP.

Reading Batman The Long Halloween right now. So far very good and immersive. Sometimes I tend to get comic books just for the art but the story is great.

If you really like it then I suggest getting Dark Victory afterwards as its the sequel. It's not nearly as good and the storytelling device is virtually the same as in LH but it's still a good read IMO.

                  Yep.

                  Spoiler

Since some of the story involves Catman, When In Rome is a good read as well even though it doesn't involve Batman directly.

I think Your right he is supposed to only be at the peak of human potential of strength, speed etc.

But it does seem that the Super Soldier serum has given him much more of a huge boost.

                        Re: Comic Book Fans....

Wow I gotta say the Grim Hunt storyline in ASM was amazing though the ending was a slight letdown but it effectively, if fantastically brought Kraven back into Spidey's world. I liked the whole spider family/web dynamic that was brought up. I think this was established during JMS' run on the book which I haven't read and I heard was quite controversial with the fanbase but I have to say Joe Kelly did a great job of using what was established to help propel the story.

Now we're heading into O.M.I.T. "sigh" Well if nothing else it should be an interesting read.

Anyone been reading Superman? Especially the latest issue. (#701) Really interesting stuff and I have to say the idea of keeping Supes grounded for an entire year to walk all over America and reconnecting with his adoptive planet is a great touch. I especially love the philosophical dialogues Supes has with the various people on the street in different situations. The centerpiece of the issue with the jumper was FANTASTIC! There's always a danger in this kind of philosophical and questioning type of storyline in the comics medium so I hope it doesn't get too overbearing and turns off the readers.

Other strong books IMO right now:

                        Batgirl
                        Justice League: Generation Lost
the rest of the batbooks except Gotham City Sirens and Streets of Gotham
                        X-Men Forever V2

And on an absolutely side note. I saw the ending of X-Men second coming happening a mile away.....and i absolutely wish Greg Land dies in a fire with his damn tracing pencil.

LOL! I tried reading an X-book with Greg Land doing the art duties....Um how is this guy getting work? All he does is trace pictures off of porn video covers or magazines!

Only read X-Titles now anyway. And Hulk.
