Re: Comic Book Fans....
I can't see how Superior survives if Peter gets resurrected unless it involves some kind of cloning and Doc Ock keeps his "Peter Parker" body and thus we get both vying for the title of Spider-Man though from what i've read on this that doesn't seem to be the case.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I mean more of the spirit of Superior Spider-Man/Doc Ock like Mestevo suggests. Definitely don't want to see two spider-men out there.New York Giants (8 NFL Championships-4 Superbowls )

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Well in that case that'd be pretty good. I think Slott writes Peter/Spidey as well or better than everyone else out there today. He's in my top 3 Spidey writers behind Stan Lee and Roger Stern.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Comic Book Fans....
X-Factor #1 was pretty good, and with Gambit a member of the team I am willing to see it through.

Re: Comic Book Fans....
So what is the point of the Marvel MAX line? To just provide a more adult comic experience?
I started reading Wolverine MAX, and now understand it will end w/ this week's issue #15. It's been a fairly decent ride but only 15 issues?!
Seems like it was a pointless cash grab using the Wolverine name, and doing nothing to advance the character.Last edited by JBH3; 01-16-2014, 09:16 PM.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Got in a lot of reading tonight:
Wolverine # 12/13
Wolverine MAX # 15
Deadpool Infinite #1
JLA # 11
Injustice # 12
Thunderbolts # 19
Thunderbolts Annual #1
I thought both Thunderbolts books were really good, both books were really what I had been expecting from the series all along. This title has been a bumpy ride, but as long as Steve Dillon and Jefte Palo are not doing the art things are good from that standpoint. I loved the plotting Red Leader in Issue #19 and I was hoping what had occurred was real and not a daydream, but maybe it's a harbinger of things to come. I love the cover for the Thunderbolts annual, and the Dr. Strange story was funny and action packed too!
The Wolverine Killable story arc I think has been the best Marvel arc in the whole Marvel NOW universe (aside from maybe Deadpool's the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly). I don't think any of the other stories have made such changes to a character. Wolverine is finally vulnerable, is a changed man, and I can't wait for his new February title.
Wolverine MAX #15...glad it's over. Will be putting my 15 issue run on ebay. The art in this series was pretty good all of the way through, but the stories were more than forgettable.
Deadpool Infinite #1...enjoyed it, classic Deadpool actions and shenanigans. Will definitely be following this one through since it ties into Deadpool's April issue. I love this character and Gerry Duggan and Brian Posehn are knocking whatever they do Deadpool, out of the box.
JLA #11...thought it was an ok issue, loved the artwork throughout, especially the Stargirl/Clayface battle. Found some of the MMH/Stargirl memory dialogue to be a bit tedious to follow and the ending of this issue was a bit anti-climactic. Still liking the Forever Evil storyline though, and there are some major shake-ups to the JL/JLA rosters once this whole thing filters through.
Last but not least Injustice # 12... This book continues to be a "WOW" every issue. Artwork is always solid, and each issue has lasting effects, suspense, and changes the landscape of the story drastically...if only other monthly's could be so drastic in their events. This book does in one issue, what other monthly's do in a 6-part story. It's such a great book! Can't wait for year 2...and dammit a new Injustice game!!Last edited by JBH3; 01-18-2014, 12:26 AM.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
I think Superior Spider-Man has turned into my favorite spidey arc since Maximum Carnage. Was never really much of a fan, but with Parker returning I hope they can keep Otto around somehow.
Edit: hah, I already posted that. Well after this week's issue it still stands.
anyone read ultimates? Kinda wish Miles was coming to the normal Marvel U instead of a relaunch.
If they kill off Galactus I'm going to be pissed.
Half expecting a break from most of my titles for a bit, not liking the framing of this death of Uatu arc they're setting up at all yet.

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Yeah everyone talks about Wolverine is so over-exposed but when you have a status quo changing event that was done in a self contained and quiet way then it's all good. It's kind of funny how Deadpool and Wolverine have had the two best story arcs in the whole Marvel Now universe.
Speaking of Wolverine, I probably liked the MAX book more than most others but I liked how at times it had the feel of a noir and other times it had an Easy Riders vibe to it. Sure, it wasn't the most focused story ever but it had enough good parts to it that give it a pass for me.
Superior Spider-Man = awesomeness.
Moving over to DC, the Green Lantern books are just KILLING IT! The space opera and politics of what's going on in those books is just awesome as the corps have to struggle with the idea of perhaps their rings draining the energy out of the universe and then a group of aliens led by the Durlans manipulating things to the point that they shape shift into Hal Jordan and broadcasts to the entire universe that the GLC rings drain the energy of the universe and how they will not let other corps use their rings. They will basically wield power against anyone to get their way which well, leads the entire universe to HATE the GLC. The crap has really hit the fan as the GLC is being attacked on all sides at the moment.
The Bat books are on a lull right now what with this Gothtopia thing (kinda boring to me) though the books will ramp up once Forever Evil concludes.
Glad to see Superman/Wonder Woman are now publicly outed in the DC universe though now i've heard rumors that WWSpoilerwill be revealed to be a KryptonianMember of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Wait what do you mean by Superman/WW being outed in the DCU?
Also the Green Arrow `The Outsiders War' has been a good read. I haven't read Detective #27 yet so I will need ti checkout the Gothtopia story.
