so you want to learn about Mac's but your first post was

Why do people buy Mac's? They're nothing but shiny, expensive, internet browsers.

Seems like you need to stick with a PC.

Don't even bother entertaining this guy. You see I ignored him from the giddy up. If he wants to learn about Macs he can go here www.apple.com otherwise just ignore him.

And guys don't get upset about his PC-Love. If it wasn't for Bill Gates, PC, and PC lovers the price of memory and hard drives wouldn't be so cheap. You gotta love that. The bloated OS and huge installs over the years drove down the price of memory and storage. So what they need just to get by we can flourish with. I love you PC, keep on getting more and more "advanced".

Why does everyone think I'm a troll? I'm sorry if my first comment was misunderstood, I did get a warning for it. I just wanna know why you guys prefer a Mac. I'm sorry for any misunderstanding.

I am in the Mac family gentlemen! Just purchased a Macbook Pro 15-inch at the Apple Store. After my company discount it will end up costing me $1,300, excluding taxes.

Haven't opened it yet as I have basketball game in a hour and don't want to rush setting it up. I'll have impressions later tonight, very excited!

Congrats man. I haven't had an Apple laptop since the 1400. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PowerBook_1400
Sure would like to get my hands on one though but unless I just happen to walk by a truck and one falls off I probably wont getting one any time soon.

I really despise that stereotype. I could rant on the PC vs. Mac BS for hours, but it's never worth it. All fanboys just need to die off. (BTW that is not directed at you mgoblue)

LOL, Just bought the Macbook Pro 13-inch, I have it charging right now, will mess with it in a bit. Anyway I'm excited.

I was going to get the macbook for $999, until I found out that the Macbook pro I got was more upgradable in every way, even the mother noard, and you can;t do this with the $999 Macbook.

I agree...I love my iPod Touch, and really liked the macbook Pro I had at my last job, just can't justify the cost in buying one myself.

I just about die laughing when someone in the Microsoft "Buy it Keep it" ad says "I'm not cool enough to be a Mac"...

Both companies have really annoying commercials...

My new Macbook has 2gb of ram, I want to upgrade to at least 4gb. Does anyone know of the bat if the MBpro has two 1gb cars installed already of just one 2gb stick?

Dam, why is mac memory so expensive.

It has two 1GB sticks. Checkout Newegg.com for cheap memory. NEVER buy it straight from Apple.

But, I just bought the same MBP that you bought, a couple weeks ago. Mine came with 4GB straight out of the box... If you want to check, go to the Apple menu (apple logo in top left) and click "About This Mac." It should tell you there how much is already installed.

First post from the Macbook Pro.

Very impressed so far. One disappointment I have is that Apple still doesn't have a better uninstaller; guess the old UNIX way of doing things for now. I saw some Apps for it, but not sure if I want to deal with any unless anyone has any good recommendations?
