I read theories that after the others killed them, they took their uniforms and equipment.
I can't tell if he has the accent anymore either. It seems less pronounced at the very least to me.Comment

Re: *** LOST: Season 5 Discussion***
I thought the US Army brought the bomb (Jughead) there to test it out? Alpert said they offered them a peaceful exit from the island, but after they refused they had to kill them. I am wondering how they found the island in the first place, maybe it wasn't invisible at that time?

And the Others did take the uniforms of the U.S. soldiers and their equipment. They were definately there for a really long time.
I'm curious as to what the Others wore and lived in prior to the United States Millitary landing.
A theory: Dharma Initiative is actually part of a United States research into the island powers.Comment

Re: *** LOST: Season 5 Discussion***
Finally got to watch this episode. Lost is amazing.
I say this maybe every week but there is no way anyone can say they didn't know what they were doing from Season One. So many little things beginning to fall into place here."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: *** LOST: Season 5 Discussion***
A bit of a blah, Season 2-esq episode IMO. It doesn't seem like much happened and what did actually happen was pretty obvious...
Spoiler
- That it was Ben who hired the lawyer to take away Aaron.
- That we see Sun getting ready to shoot Ben at the same time we learn Jin is still alive (which I hope everyone knew anyway), which obviously Ben will use to A) save his life B) convince Sun to go back to the Island.
- That it was Rousseau on the raft (I actually thought the blonde chick from last week's episode was gonna be her when I first saw her, so it just seemed like it was only a matter of time until the time-traveling losties ran into Rousseau and her crew.
- The losties still on the Island continued to travel through time and we had a few more nosebleeds, nothing that really moved the plot.
- Ben and Jack continued to round up the O6, which we all know they're gonna successfully do.
- Highlight of the night was Hurley in the orange prison jumpsuit, looking like an orange version of the blueberry chick from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Re: *** LOST: Season 5 Discussion***
Even though it was a bit predictable, it did move the story forward (just w/o surprises) as we're closer to having the O6 heading back towards the island and we finally have confirmation Jin is alive.
SpoilerWho was the new group of people shooting at Sawyer & Co? That feels like its going to be one of those moments we're going to revisit in an episode 10 weeks to a year from now.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: *** LOST: Season 5 Discussion***
Good but not great episode.
Spoiler
Jin's back.
- He's gonna be alone when the flashes happen.
- It was pretty obvious when French people were speaking that it would be Rosseau's group.
- Young Danielle looks pretty cute.
Oceanic 6 getting together pretty-quickly. Just two more! I guess it's needed since they only have hours to get back to the island successfully.
Other others. Who might they be? And from when?
