It was a complete ripoff of both Fight Club and the Matrix; except the story sucked, the filming sucked, the action sucked, the acting sucked, and the characters sucked.

Everything about the first 30 minutes was crap. I'm the type of guy to watch bad movies all the way through, and 30 minutes was all I could make it.

I agree 100%. I saw it with some friends when it first released and most of them loved it. I thought it was just horrid.

Then I look on Dish Network's critique of Wanted and they give it 3 stars. What the....?

Went to the dollar theater yesterday and saw Obsessed. Not a bad flick...same genre as Basic Instinct. Beyonce was okay.

Is sultry vixen the only role that Ali Larter can play? Not that I'm complaining really...she was easy on the eyes.

Went and saw Public Enemies. I guess I wasn't in the right mood or something because I thought it was slow and boring.

          American Gangster

I must say, this is one of the first movies I've seen where every scene progressively upped my rating for this movie. It literally got better with each moment, and it kept me into it. I mean for a 160 minute movie, it better do that.

Denzel Washington is just supreme, and I've been liking Crowe a lot lately as well. They're just good guys that play roles on opposite ends of the spectrum very well, and even though they have a very short time in scenes together, there was still that sense of chemistry. Heck, I didn't even know who to root for by the end of the movie, but in the end it kind of resolves itself (no spoilers). Cuba Gooding Jr. also makes a cameo appearance and played it just fine.

Probably don't have the courage to endure the movie's entire length again, but I liked it a first time through.

Thank God someone agrees with me. There was a thread where someone asked us whether to recommend Hancock or Wanted, and I can't believe the number of people that said Wanted. Hancock ain't exactly Shakespeare neither, but Wanted is definitely a huge step down from it.

Finally watched the Watchmen last night. I didn't realize it was going to be that long. It was different, I'll give it that. I can do without blue pee-pees in my movies though!

Surprised there isn't anything other than a trailers thread for it here.

I saw the movie Moon the other day. It is an indie sci-fi psychological drama about this astronaut (Sam Rockwell) who is on a 3 year solo mission on the dark side of the moon, and then two weeks before his tour ends he gets in a rover crash. After he recovers from the crash he goes out to investigate his rover only to find himself in it. The story goes on from there. It was really good.

Good way to start out a summary, and not give spoilers. I'm intrigued now. Probably watch this one over the weekend. Plus I'm a big Sam Rockwell fan!

If you like Sam Rockwell, you should like it. It really shows his acting ability in this movie.

                      The Haunting in Connecticut-7.2/10

Interesting movie, I now see why people who went in hoping for a scare-fest were disappointed. It's not meant to scare you, but sort of tell a story about a situation a family went through. It's a lot like Amityville Horror.

Definitely not as bad as most people made it out to be

                        Messengers 2: The Scarecrow 6.6/10

Really reminded of the Goosebump episode: The Scarecrow walks at midnight, except this one had nudity and blood. Decent enough movie, but when the thrill wor off the scarecrow couldn't carry the movie

Watched The Hangover last night and while it had its moments I didnt find it nearly as funny as most people were leading me to believe it would be. I personally found I Love You Man to be far and away funnier but to each his own.

I have a feeling it depends on the number of people you see it with. I guarantee you that me seeing it the second night it was out in theaters prompted me to find it much funnier than if I were by myself and I saw it OnDemand a year after it came out.

Obviously those are two extremes, but you know what I mean.

                                Green Lantern: First Flight 8.7/10

Like all of the D.C movies, it was awesome. D.C. is certainly on top with their animated movies, much so then Marvel. It doesn't treat you like a 8 year old boy, but a person who has a brain to think and follow along. Gave me a great intro to the Lantern's background.

I knew Sinestro was his arch enemy, but it was cool seeing how he fell into that situation. The movie started out very abrupt though, not sure if the comic did the same. Soon as it started within the first 5 mins, Hal got his lantern powers.

To conclude, can't wait for the next D.C. film.
