Chocolate - about this girl who absorb martial arts moves she sees on TV. She's like a little Taskmaster. I loved this movie, the fight scenes were great. That lil girl was kickin ***.

The Stepfather - You've seen one, you've seen em' all, but the old lady really wanted to see it again for some reason. About a man who goes from family to family, gaining their trust, then killing them.
    PS: You guys are great.

I've watched a few scenes from this on Youtube... really strange. I don't know if I could watch the whole thing though.

I LOVED this movie. I'm left wondering why The Blind Side got a Best Picture nom and this didn't. It felt really relatable, and I think that had a lot to do with Gordon-Levitt's performance which was great. The contrast in his performance between happy and miserable was the most remarkable part to me. He played each mood with it's own relatability. When he was happy, you felt "I've been there before" and when he was miserable, you thought the same. Zooey was, well, Zooey, I feel like she's made a career of playing the same character over and over again. Luckily, it's an interesting character, and I feel it was done best in this movie. The "Expectations/Reality" sequence was dynamite and to me the highlight of this movie. It's short, but it's fantastic. I looked at the person I was watching it with and said "whoever wrote this specific scene deserves awards".

        I'm buying this tomorrow.
Agreed. Though I haven't seen The Blind Side (read the book), (500) Days of Summer is EASILY one of my favorite films of all time. It's so well done and is such a good, relatable story. I look forward to seeing more from director Marc Webb, and I'm actually sort of interested in the Spiderman re-boot because of his involvement.

You should check out the (500) Days of Summer thread. It seems pretty unanimous on these boards that it was one of the top films of the year.

Hot Tub Time Machine- Ok movie, not all that great. I was debating whether to watch this or out of my League, because I had heard great things about outta my league. I think I shoulda seen outta My League. Time Mahine was just not that funny at all, and the premise was just kinda lame. I saw it with 2 buddies and they both thought it was avg at best.

Saw The Blind Side last night with the girlfriend and we loved it. Never read the book though. Might have to pick it up.

Really? I thought Time Machine was hilarious and much better than She's Out of My League.

Toy Story 2 - The dialogue in these movies are so clever and witty I love it. Not quite the same level of charm as the first one since there's very little screen time between Woody and Buzz, but still a great film. I really love the "time period" these movies create - its very nostalgic while still being modern. I can't wait for TS3!

Toy Story still goes down as my favorite animated film of all time. I love it.

I'm definitely not too high on She's Out of My League and find Hot Tub Time Machine to be the superior comedy, though they are both totally different styles.

Went and saw "She's Out Of My League" yesterday with the wife...good movie, but was hoping it would be more funny. Oh well, Alice Eve was easy on the eyes!

Saw Hot Tub Time Machine this weekend and I thought it was really funny. You know the kind of humor you are getting before you go. If you like that style, it's funny. If you don't then you'll just think, meh it was OK.

I'll put a vote in for Hot Tub Time Machine - worth the price of admission. I thought it was pretty funny. A lot like Superbad in its style of humor, I thought. The plot was actually somewhat engaging and had me thinking a lot about what was going to happen next instead of the funny lines in the movie.

I will admit that today Motley Crue's Home Sweet Home Again came on the radio when I was driving... and I started playing the dashboard piano. Couldn't help it.
