So i'm hoping someone sees er Blockers this weekend or pretty soon as i'd like to hear how it goes. The premise of this comedy movie is rather ho-hum but the ads look interesting. John Cena as a parent trying to keep his daughters from having sex on prom night sounds entertaining as hell.

Getting good reviews.

A Quiet Place debuted at the South by Southwest Film Conference about three weeks ago about and goes national this Friday (4-6 or Thursday night). The horror film was co-written and directed by John Krasinski and stars him and his real wife Emily Blunt. It currently stands at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 36 reviews.

Soooo A Quiet Place....what a frickin movie...absolutely loved it.

The two big deaths really got me...esp. Lee's. Being a father, they really got me in the feels.

Yeah, A Quiet Place was a really good movie with some creepy bad monsters.

I just found out Krasinski's movie daughter is actually deaf.

A Quiet Place was strong! No idea Krasinski directed it. Also surprised Shyamalan wasn't attached to the project at all, given the influences.

I have concerning questions of logic, some the movie addressed and others that it did not, but it did not hinder from what appeared on screen one bit. Very riveting.

On another note, I've seen plenty of movies between then and now folks, but have become slightly exhausted in writing impressions for them. Probably because right afterward I had to do something else (even if it was seeing another movie because I did a lot of double-features), and it's not like they were theater viewings either since the last movie before this I saw in theaters was The Last Jedi. Didn't want you to think I stopped watching films is all!

I saw a short video of her talking/signing about her role and how it's empowering for the deaf community in some ways that she got to do this. As someone who's deaf (though can hear and communicate fairly well) this is very meaningful and impactful. The concept of the movie sounds amazing and it should give some people an idea of what the non hearing/speaking person has to go through in some way even if the context is slightly different.

I will have to check this movie out when it comes On Demand.

WOW, after many years of reading your posts I had no idea SPTO. You say you can somewhat hear?

Yeah, I have to rely on hearing aids. I'm not a big fan of the new digital hearing aids so it actually sounds "worse" for me now in crowded situations so a lot of leaning over to hear people but one on one I can hear pretty well

I tend to watch TV/listen to audio with my headphones almost exclusively. (thank goodness TV sets these days have headphone connections!)

I felt like it was made by a bunch of people who didn't care about the project. With Craig showing some rejuvenated interest again and with a new director, I hope there is a new spark in his final installment.

It was disappointing to me, as well. Especially since it followed Skyfall, which was my favorite Craig James Bond movie.

A Quiet Place was very good. Solid acting performances throughout. You could hear a pin drop in the theater from the start.

C+%$ Blockers was surprisingly not bad...John Cena was pretty funny in most of his spots. Kept me entertained.
