Just got a Galaxy S3 last night and I'm completely new to Android, so I was wondering if there's any kind of knockoff iTunes program I can download to manage my music instead of having to use the music folder?

T-Mobile said to launch Galaxy Note 2 'phablet' on October 24


I almost feel like I already made my decision and I'll end up buying it. If somehow the size throws me off then I'll go the S3 route.

I almost feel like I already made my decision and I'll end up buying it. If somehow the size throws me off then I'll go the S3 route.

If the size throws me off, I'll probably hold off 'till the spring. I don't want to be handicapped with the S3, meaning LTE. I'm not sure T-mos S3 will pick up LTE once it is available.

I know it is a great phone but as the tech enthusiasts we are, I don't want to be stuck wanting to upgrade again because of LTE.

What do you mean by manage? I use Google Music and every song I have in my Itunes folder along with playlists are accessible through that app.

Like arrange it and keep it organized, rather than a massive cluster**** as it is right now.

I'm a neat freak when it comes to my music. I'm already experiencing iTunes/iPod withdrawls.

EDIT: And apparently Google Music is only available in the US. Ugh.

Any of the newer "My Touch" 4G phones worth getting? I'm eligible for an upgrade and they're pretty reasonable.



EDIT:Hmmmm..I just noticed after posting the image the scores are pretty mediocre.

If you're getting an Android phone, get a high-end android. Don't burn an upgrade and 2-year contract on low-end/mid-level crap.

Price point doesn't really matter to me, I'm paying it off right away with cash.

But please explain this TMo to me, I googled it but I'm still not really grasping it.

Is it that important to me? I though LTE alone was what was important here.

I'm going to go check it out this afternoon after work, kinda excited.

I read it doesn't support TMo's LTE either.

That does not bode well for me. I thought it was confirmed to be able to eventually get the signal when it was released.

Also, Bolt, I would pay it off as well but it just seems like if other carriers are offering it for $300 why not you, you know? What's the difference between the Note 2 on T-mobile as compared with ATT, Sprint, and US Cellular which have all confirmed pricing at $299.

LTE will become the standard in the next year or so. If you're stuck (I mean that facetiously) with a phone for a year and a half, might as well get one that can support the next data standard. Engadget's review says it won't support it officially:

T-Mobile's version of the Note II, also known as the T889, is the only one of the US bunch to exclude support for LTE (for obvious reasons) and add the standard AWS radio and DC-HSPA+ 42 Mbps to the mix. WiFi calling, the feature that lets you cut down on minutes and keeps you from having to worry about reception in your house or office, is also readily included here. Despite rumors (and even T-Mobile's official website) claiming that this particular Note II is equipped with a Qualcomm CPU, we've confirmed on our end that it is indeed the same Exynos 4412 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz as seen on the other devices.

Also, according to the T889's FCC application, the device includes support for LTE bands 4 (AWS) and 17, though this particular set of radios is currently locked on T-Mobile. We're hoping the AWS LTE band will be enabled for us as soon as the network is ready to push ahead with its next-gen technology, but we haven't heard any official word from Magenta about this. Regardless of what happens, we wouldn't put it past <strike>hackers</strike> Android programming aficionados to come up with a way of taking advantage of this.

Higher data rates really make your enjoyment of a phone go up.
